Central Coast Cup ready for take off

Central Coast United will be embarking on a new adventure as they host the inaugural Central Coast Cup over the first weekend in December at the Central Coast Sporting and Recreation Complex in Tuggerah.

Having gained full support from the Central Coast Council to ensure the smooth running of the tournament, this Cup will cater to boys and girls aged 7 to 18 years old.

The game formats and field sizes will be the same as what the teams have played during the winter season with the event to be held at a venue that has 7 full-size fields.

“To be honest it’s something that has been in the pipeline for quite some time,” said Central Coast United FC’s General Manager Matthew Crowell.

“The uncertainty on hosting events over the last couple of years forced us to hold back a bit; however, we are very excited to provide an opportunity for teams of all levels to celebrate the end of the season with a weekend away to one of Australia’s best coastal towns.

“Central Coast Sporting and Recreation Complex is a world-class facility conveniently located just over an hour from Sydney and Newcastle.  The playing surfaces are all grass with excellent cover and great amenities all within walking distance, it will be a great carnival atmosphere.

“We believe this will be the perfect way to celebrate the end of your season.”

On Friday 2nd of December, the tournament will feature twilight games for those teams that opt-in and are available.

Group matches will take place on Saturday the 3rd of December while knockout and finals matches will be on display on Sunday the 4th of December.

FEES

Teams are required to register via this website and pay a $100 deposit to lock in their spot.

Individual players will then be required to register for the tournament via the MyFootball system and pay $70.

Spots are limited and will be allocated on a first-in first-served basis.
