As many as 24 budding coaches have commenced Part 1 of their Advanced Coaching ‘B’ Diplomas at Valentine Sports Park led by Presenter Chris Adams and supported by Warren Grieve and Dan Sheppard recently.

Former German Bundesliga star and now Hills United player Nicolai Muller was one of the attendees while as many as nine women also took part in the Diploma in what was a step in the right direction for the growth of female coaches in NSW.

The large female representation was made possible by the awarding of Legacy Scholarships as part of the NSW Government’s $10m investment into women’s football, as a result of the FIFA Womens World Cup to be hosted by Australia and New Zealand in July.

“It has been great to see the ‘B’ Diploma back,” said Football NSW’s Technical Director Warren Grieve.

“In recent years Football NSW has delivered a huge number of ‘C’ Diploma courses and with that comes a natural demand for coaches to continue with their coaching journey.

“There will be more ‘B’ Diplomas throughout the year providing further Coach Development opportunities for coaches across the state.”
