On 30 March 2023, Football NSW held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Valentine Sports Park.

During the meeting, Football NSW Chair, Gilbert Lorquet, provided a year in review while thanking outgoing Board members. The contributions of Stephen Hayes and Louie Apostolovski, who retired in December 2022, were acknowledged in addition to Deputy Chair, Fiona Lang whose term ended at the AGM and who was ineligible to re-stand at the 2023 AGM.

Current director, Morris Iemma, was the only candidate for the three available Elected Director positions and he was re-elected by the members with his term expiring at the AGM in respect of the 2025/26 financial year

With a quorum in place, ‘Resolution 1’ was carried which saw Mr Iemma re-elected to a new term.

Immediately following the conclusion of the AGM, the Board re-elected Gilbert Lorquet to the role of Chair and elected Stephanie Brantz as the new Deputy Chair.

Lorquet paid tribute to the outgoing Deputy Chair for her contributions.

“Fiona has played an important leadership role for Football NSW and I am incredibly grateful for the support and guidance she provided to me and the Board over the past few years,” he said.

“I look forward to continuing the progress being made across Football NSW with the backing of the current Board and new Deputy Chair, Stephanie, who will provide an important voice for football over the coming years.”

The Board will look to fill the two casual vacancies in due course.
