VALE: Vince Balzan

Football NSW was saddened to hear the news of the passing of well-respected and admired life member Vince Balzan.

Vince played an instrumental role with Parramatta Melita Eagles as President and Director from 1996 to 2000 as well as coaching the club’s youth and senior squad in the old National Soccer League (NSL) competition.

His involvement in growing the game was there to be seen for all.

Due to his passion and dedication to the sport, his efforts were acknowledged and recognised as Vince received life membership with Football NSW for his distinguished services to the game.

All of Football NSW sends its condolences to the Balzan family, those closest to Vince, and everyone he impacted through football over the years.
