NSW Regional Under 18 Girls crowned Kuala Lumpur Invitational Cup Champions

A select squad made up of both Football NSW and Northern NSW player representatives recently took out the Kuala Lumpur Invitational Cup in Malaysia topping the group then winning the final.

The female stars were identified from the recent National Talent Challenge (NTC) squads from both the Football NSW Country and Northern NSW football teams who took this tour as an opportunity to pit their abilities against strong Asian opponents as well as gaining valuable experience along the way.

Coached by Zoe Anderson and assisted by Bryce Deaton, the Girls kicked off with a solid opener putting eleven past the Kuala Lumpur Youth SC side before defeating the Kuala Lumpur Sunbears (3- 0), Singaporean outfit Lion City Sailors (3-0) and finishing off with a victory against Kuala Lumpur FC (3-0).

Finishing first in the group, the NSW Regional Girls put the icing on the cake with a 1-0 victory over Football West club Carramar SR to clinch the silverware having scored an amazing 21 goals, conceding none and maintaining their 100% percent record.
