Round 2 of the Football NSW League One Women’s season offers teams a chance to build on their opening day performance or a chance at redemption.

There are seven games across the weekend for them to do so with Central Coast Mariners hosting Blacktown City FC featuring as the Match of the Round.

Let’s get to the preview.

Match of the Round: Central Coast Mariners vs Blacktown City FC, Sunday 10 March, 3pm, Pluim Park

Central Coast Mariners host Blacktown City FC in the Match of the Round at Pluim Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Mariners come into this game from a solid 2-0 win against Marconi Stallions in their first away trip of the season.

There were more young talents unveiled for the Mariners last weekend with Tataya Curry-Jones and Claire Denning finding the back of the net in the win.

Sophie Nenadovic and Maya Lobo have added some good experience to the squad and will be keen to put their mark on the contest.

Blacktown City FC had a strong first performance in their 5-1 win against Nepean FC at Landen Stadium last Sunday.

It was a superb debut for Amelia Savetta with a hat-trick in the win and her combination with Jenny Hughes is key for the visitors.

Another standout for Blacktown City FC was Amber Precious and she will hope to repeat the dose on the coast.

This game will be streamed live on the FNSW YouTube channel with the ‘Voice of Central Coast Football’ Pete Prior behind the microphone.

South Coast Flame FC vs Marconi Stallions, Saturday 9 March, 7:15pm, Sir Ian McLennan Park

South Coast Flame FC welcome Marconi Stallions down to Sir Ian McLennan Park on Saturday night.

The Flame will want to keep the fire burning after their 5-3 win over Inter Lions to open the season last weekend.

Cristina Barraza picked up where she left off last season with a pair of goals and aim to add to her tally on Saturday.

Their coach Daniel Naumovski will want his side to continue making Sir Ian McLennan Park a fortress with another win.

Marconi Stallions hope to bounce back after being defeated 2-0 by Central Coast Mariners at Marconi Stadium.

The Stallions might look to Julie Figueira to help them find the back of the net in this game and grab their first points.

They do have some talent on the bench including Lauren Featherstone and Tania Baban to help them possibly snatch something late.

St George FC vs Camden Tigers, Sunday 10 March, 3pm, Illinden Sports Centre

St George FC welcome Camden Tigers down to Ilinden Sports Centre for their game on Sunday afternoon.

The Saints put in a gallant performance in their 3-2 defeat to Mt Druitt Town Rangers in the Match of the Round.

Christina Dendrinos was a livewire down the wing for St George FC in the game and she will be key to a positive result on Sunday.

Up top, Jordan Baker and Kyla Vanderlaan both put in strong shifts and look to find the back of the net in this game.

The Tigers were blown away early by SD Raiders FC and fell to a 4-0 defeat in their travels to Cirillo Reserve.

They will look to the experienced members of their squad Kristy Rohrer and Samantha Cefai to help push them forward.

The loss also broke their streak of opening weekend wins and the Tigers hope to bounce back and take a big scalp.

Nepean FC vs Bankstown City Lions FC, Sunday 10 March, 3pm, Cook Park

Nepean FC host Bankstown City Lions FC in their game down at Cook Park on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts took the lead before they were beaten 5-1 by Blacktown City FC at Landen Stadium last weekend.

Catriona Haberman was the one who gave Nepean FC the lead with a free-kick and she will be a danger at set pieces on Sunday.

They face a tough task against the rampant Lions so keeper Jasmine Crouch might have a busy afternoon.

Bankstown City Lions FC signaled their intent early with a thumping 11-0 win over Sutherland Strikers FC.

It was a sparkling performance from Aya Seino who scored five goals in the win and is the early leader for the Golden Boot.

Their coach Ante Covic will hope for a repeat performance from the Lions as they look to bounce back up to the top.

Inter Lions vs Hills United FC, Sunday 10 March, 3pm, Majors Bay Reserve

Inter Lions face off against Hills United FC in their game at Majors Bay Reserve on Sunday afternoon.

The Lions had an encouraging performance despite the 5-3 defeat to South Coast Flame FC in the season opener.

They put up a strong performance against a talented Flame side and hope that momentum will help them against another contender.

Milena Visser made a strong start in a Lions shirt with a goal in the defeat and look to add further to her tally on Sunday.

Hills United FC flexed their muscles early with their 7-0 win over South East Phoenix FC last weekend.

The strike duo of Isabella Sciberras and Kaylie Shannon were in fine form for Hills United FC as they combined for five goals in the win.

Coach Alan Tasses will be glad Hills United FC found the back of the net often but also continuing their strong defensive record as well.

South East Phoenix FC vs SD Raiders FC, Sunday 10 March, 3:15pm, South Nowra Football Complex

South East Phoenix FC take on SD Raiders FC down at South Nowra Football Complex on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts will look to pick themselves up after their 7-0 defeat to Hills United FC at Bella Vista Public School last weekend.

It was a young squad for the Phoenix and they will take some time to find their feet this season and grab some points.

They will look to captain Peta Cottingham and Sarah Kilby to lead them from the front in their first home game.

SD Raiders FC had a comfortable 4-0 win over local rivals Camden Tigers at Cirillo Reserve in Round 1.

Bojan Radmillo has the side well drilled shown by them scoring twice in the opening ten minutes to blow away their opponents.

Abigai Boag has become a sharpshooter for SD Raiders FC with a brace in the win and she will be primed for another big performance.

Sutherland Strikers FC vs Mt Druitt Town Rangers, Sunday 10 March, 3:30pm, Kareela Oval Field 3

Sutherland Strikers FC face off against Mt Druitt Town Rangers down at Kareela Oval on Sunday afternoon.

The Strikers will want to quickly banish their opening day 11-0 defeat to Bankstown City Lions in this game.

It is a tough opening fortnight for the Strikers but they hope to get the squad to gel quickly and pick up some points.

They will aim to open their goalscoring account and find the back of the net in their first home game of the campaign.

Mt Druitt Town Rangers took a big scalp in their 3-2 win against St George FC in last weekend’s Match of the Round.

The combination between Leena Khamis and Rosie Galea will be vital again to making it back-to-back wins for the visitors.

Town Rangers custodian Renee Krstanovska made some key saves last week and look for an easier afternoon on Sunday.
