Six football finalists announced for 2024 NSW Champions of Sport Awards

Finalists in each of the 2024 NSW Champions of Sport Awards categories have been announced by Sport NSW with Football fairing in as many as six categories.
The 2024 NSW Sports Awards are the highest sports honours in NSW with the 12 category winners set to be revealed at the prestigious NSW Champions of Sport Ceremony at The Star Event Centre, Pyrmont on Monday, November 25.
Nominated for the ‘UNSW Young Athlete of the Year’, former FNSW Institute graduate and Sydney FC Women’s star Indiana Dos Santos has made the shortlist along with some outstanding youngsters across various sporting codes.
The Championship winning Central Coast Mariners Men’s team have been nominated in the ‘Gallagher Team of the Year’ category while the NSW Para Football Team will be flying the flag in the ‘Team of the Year with a Disability’ following sixteen consecutive national titles.
Football NSW’s Referees Manager and leading Ninja A-League Women’s official Emma Kocbek has been nominated in the ‘Vailo Official of the Year’, while the very successful Football NSW Coaching Conference was nominated as a finalist in the ‘Event of the Year’.
Finally, Football NSW has been nominated for the ‘ACPE Organisation of the Year’ off the back of unprecedented growth for the sport in 2024.
