Football NSW hosts successful Futsal Gala Dinner

Football NSW celebrated Futsal’s night of nights as the official Gala Dinner took centre stage at the Doltone House, Hyde Park on Thursday 30th of January to celebrate an unforgettable season.
The Futsal Premier League, Futsal Premier League 2 and NOVA Employment AWD 2024 season competitions were celebrated in what was an unforgettable evening for the sport.
From an awards front, it was a massive year for UTS Northside Futsal’s Daisy Arrowsmith, Mascot Vipers’ Conor Quilligan, Raiders Futsal Club’s Nicole Ossio, Phoenix Futsal Club’s Connor Slater and South Coast Taipans’ Dillon Brown who each picked up Player of the Year accolades in their respective senior leagues.
In the youth age groups it was a massive evening for a couple of rising young stars who picked up two awards which included Dural Warriors’ Nikkita Fazzari, South Coast Taipans’ Jyden Harb, Sydney Futsal Club’s Mya Callil, Macarthur Quake Futsal’s Lucas Lesar and Raiders Futsal Club’s Nicole Ossio.
Phoenix Futsal Club’s James Brunacci also took out two awards after being crowned the Futsal Premier League 2 Open Men’s Keeper of the Year award as well as the Coach of the Year.
Football NSW also celebrated the referees as Ryan Shepheard and rising young official Blake Sanchez-Cruz were acknowledged for their services to the game.
It was a big year for Futsal at a national level as Football NSW finished the 2025 National Futsal Championships held in Victoria in style with the state well represented in all but one grand final and finished with eight MVP winners, six Golden Shoe recipients and two referee awards across the tournament.
