Round 3 in the Football NSW League One Women’s competition is shaping up to be another exciting weekend of action.

There are six wonderful match ups to run the rule over the weekend which is headlined by the Match of the Round between Blacktown Spartans FC and Marconi Stallions FC.

Let’s get onto the preview.

Match of the Round: Blacktown Spartans FC vs Marconi Stallions FC, Sunday 16 March, 5pm, Blacktown Football Park

Blacktown Spartans FC hosts Marconi Stallions FC in their game at Blacktown Football Park on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts will want to bounce back after their 1-0 loss to Bankstown City Lions FC at Jensen Park last weekend.

Paris Vinuya was a valuable contributor for Mt Druitt last season and she will be ready to find the back of the net for her new club.

Alongside her, Melina Visser has a knack for goals and she will keep the Stallions defence busy on Sunday.

Marconi Stallions FC had a dramatic comeback against St George FC to earn a 3-3 draw at The Palace last weekend.

Pene Bonovas scored a brace in the draw including a late penalty and has had a great start to life at the Stallions

The Stallions head on the road for the first time in 2025 and they want to make another big statement against the Spartans.

This game will be live streamed on the Football NSW YouTube channel with Matt “Duckman” Austin wading into the waters to call the contest.

South Coast Flame FC vs Bankstown City Lions FC, Saturday 15 March, 7:15pm, Sir Ian McLennan Park

South Coast Flame FC face off against Bankstown City Lions FC at Sir Ian McLennan Park on Saturday night.

The Flame produced a five-star performance in their win against Blacktown City FC in the Match of the Round last weekend.

While she didn’t feature on the scoresheet, Bessie Riethmuller helped pull the strings for South Coast Flame FC in the midfield.

Another new signing Ashleigh Long bagged her first two goals for the Flame showing off her lethal shot.

The Lions earned their first win of the 2025 season with a 1-0 stoppage time result against Blacktown Spartans FC.

Coach Ante Covic will be pleased with the win but he will have the side doing shooting training after their wastefulness in front of goal last Sunday.

Lucy Coxsedge scored the winner in stoppage time and she might be an impact substitute again in this game.

SD Raiders FC vs Camden Tigers FC, Sunday 16 March, 3pm, Cirillo Reserve

SD Raiders FC welcome Camden Tigers FC to Cirillo Reserve for their game on Sunday afternoon.

After the weekend off due to the bye, SD Raiders FC will be primed and ready to go for this contest.

They would have licked their wounds after the loss and ready to defend their home turf on Sunday afternoon.

SD Raiders FC will look towards Madeliene Malone and Jessica Neville to push them forward through midfield in this contest.

Camden Tiger FC earned their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw against Central Coast Mariners FC at home.

It was a memorable debut for Chantelle Barnard with a goal in her first start which put Camden Tigers ahead before they were pegged back.

The Tigers hope that this point might give them juice ahead of their local derby clash and cause an upset.

St George FC vs Sutherland Strikers FC, Sunday 16 March, 4:30pm, Barton Park

St George FC take on Sutherland Strikers in the local derby down at Barton Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Saints were in a pulsating 3-3 draw against Marconi Stallions FC at Marconi Stadium last weekend.

Danielle Rutstein has netted in back-to-back games and she has already shown to be an important cog in the St George FC attack.

St George FC have set up a good platform for another charge at the top four with four points in their first two games.

Sutherland Strikers FC won 5-1 against Nepean FC in their first game of the new season at Harrie Denning Reserve.

The Strikers had five different goal scorers in the big result which will please coach Hanif Verjani headed into this game.

Keira Moukatas got the party started with the opening goal and the Strikers will want a similar fast start on Sunday.

Nepean FC vs Central Coast Mariners, Sunday 16 March, 5pm, Cook Park

Nepean FC hosts Central Coast Mariners FC in their game down at Cook Park on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts aim to bounce back after their 5-1 loss to Sutherland Strikers FC down at Harrie Denning Centre.

Hannah Haberman found the back of the net in the defeat and she will be ready to find the back of the net again on Sunday.

It has been a tough start for Nepean FC but they will be glad to have their first home game of the campaign.

Central Coast Mariners FC struck late to get a point in a 1-1 draw against Camden Tigers FC at Rone Din Reserve.

The Mariners showed their grit with comebacks in the first two games which will give them belief they can earn point from anywhere.

Jessica Garrett showed off her set piece skills in the draw with a thunderous free-kick and she will be a danger from those situations on Sunday.

Hills United FC vs Blacktown City FC, Sunday 16 March, 5:30pm, Valentine Sports Park

Rounding off the weekend is Hills United FC against Blacktown City FC at Valentine Sports Park on Sunday evening.

Hills United FC were 6-0 winners against Inter Lions FC in their home opener last Sunday evening.

Elin Rosenberg Cemazar starred in the result with a hat-trick which hopefully will kickstart her season.

Alongside her, Bianca Galayini has been a constant feature for Hills United FC in their history and she has the knack for finding herself on the scoresheet.

Blacktown City FC featured in the Match of the Round and suffered a 5-0 loss to a rampant South Coast Flame FC.

It has been a tough start for Blacktown City FC with back-to-back losses but they hope to put in a good shift against Hills United FC.

Amber Precious had a few opportunities for Blacktown City FC in the game and she will hope to find the back of the net in this game.
