State Cup set for healthy number of entrants in 2025

It’s set to be a huge year for Football NSW’s State Cup tournament as 699 teams from across the state have been locked in to participate in the prestigious association knockout cup competition commencing later this month.
With the finals set to be staged at Football NSW’s Valentine Sports Park in July after a two-year hiatus as Manly Warringah Football Association’s Cromer Park successfully hosted the last two editions, the healthy number of clubs set to participate continues to showcase the strength of grassroots football across the state.
“It’s fantastic to see club figures increase for this year’s 2025 State Cup edition which in total is a 22% increase from 2024,” said Football NSW’s Competition Coordinator and State Cup administrator Kim Burge.
“The appetite for taking part in these events shows how popular our sport is across NSW and its brilliant to see Football NSW hosting the two-day final at Valentine Sports Park once again.
“I would finally like to acknowledge Manly Warringah Football Association for their support in hosting the last two State Cup Finals.”
The State Cup will feature teams from the 13 (Boys and Girls), 14 (Boys and Girls), 15 (Boys and Girls), 16 (Boys and Girls), 17 (Boys), 18 (Boys and Girls), 21 (Men), Over 35 Men, All Age Men and Womens categories.
