Round 13 in the Football NSW League One Women’s competition reaches the halfway mark and an important juncture for sides looking to make finals.

There are six games to examine for Sunday headlines by a 2023 Grand Final rematch between Hills United FC and St George FC.

Let’s get onto the preview.

Match of the Round: Hills United FC vs St George FC, Sunday 25 May, 5:30pm, Valentine Sports Park

Hills United FC hosts St George FC in their game down at Valentine Sports Park on Sunday evening.

The league leaders were 3-0 winners against Nepean FC in their travels to Cook Park last weekend.

Isabella Sciberras scored a pair from the bench and gives coach Alan Tasses another weapon to turn to in this important clash.

Tasses also singled out midfielder Monique Holder who was all over the park in a fabulous shift last Sunday and she will look for a repeat performance.

St George FC fell victim to the wet weather with their clash against SD Raiders FC at Barton Park being washed out.

Jordan Baker leads the golden boot with 16 goals and she has a knack for important goals against Hills United FC over the years.

Custodian Caitlin Russell has a run of starts between the sticks and she might need some key interventions against the potent Hills United FC attack.

This game will be streamed live on the Football NSW YouTube channel with The ‘Filipino Flyer’ Eric Subijano behind the microphone for this 2023 Grand Final rematch.

SD Raiders FC vs Blacktown Spartans FC, Sunday 25 May, 3pm, Ernie Smith Reserve

SD Raiders FC welcome Bankstown Spartans FC to Ernie Smith Reserve for their game on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts had their high-profile clash against St George FC washed out after the wet weather in Sydney.

Defender Angelina Mastoris is an experienced player in League One Women’s and will help guide the young side around.

In front of her, Layne Knight and Jessica Neville patrol the midfield well and make sure that any attacks are quelled quickly.

Blacktown Spartans FC suffered a late 1-0 loss against Camden Tigers FC at Blacktown Football Park last weekend.

The Spartans must be at their defensive best again this weekend and Lili Rosandic is one key to that strategy.

Looking forward, Danielle Keller and winger Melina Visser might look to get behind the defence and find the back of the net.

Sutherland Strikers FC vs Bankstown City Lions FC, Sunday 25 May, 4:30pm, Harrie Denning Centre

Sutherland Strikers FC ace off against Bankstown City Lions FC at Harrie Denning Centre on Sunday afternoon.

The Strikers had an open 0-0 draw against Blacktown City FC in their contest at Landen Stadium last Sunday.

Abbey Harrison has featured in all 11 games for the Strikers thus far in 2025 and is a vital part of their backline.

Upfront, Grace Considine will be hungry to find the back of the net and help the side to three points.

Bankstown City Lions FC featured in a 0-0 draw in the Match of the Round against Inter Lions FC last weekend.

The Lions welcomed back custodian Keeley Segavcic after her A League Womens season with the Western Sydney Wanderers.

They have found their defensive stability in recent weeks after back-to-back clean sheets and hunting a third on Sunday.

Camden Tigers FC vs Blacktown City FC, Sunday 25 May, 5pm, Ron Dine Reserve

Camden Tigers FC hosts Blacktown City FC in a game taking place at Ron Dine Reserve on Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers had a last gasp 1-0 win against Blacktown Spartans FC in their travels to Rooty Hill last weekend.

Once again, Chantelle Barnard is the player for big moments for the Tigers and if they need a goal late, she will be pushing forward.

Alongside her, Ashlee Taff has shown she can score from anywhere on the pitch and Blacktown City FC have to be weary.

Blacktown City FC played out a stalemate against Sutherland Strikers FC in their game at Landen Stadium.

Zoe Zaczek is a calm presence for Blacktown City FC and her passing range might help unlock the Tigers defence.

The visitors are one of three League One Women’s side left in the Sapphire Cup and host NPLNSW Women’s side UNSW FC on Wednesday night.

Inter Lions FC vs Nepean FC, Sunday 25 May, 5pm Majors Bay Reserve

Inter Lions FC take on Nepean FC in an intriguing game down at Majors Bay Reserve on Sunday afternoon.

The Lions dug out a 0-0 draw in the Match of the Round against Bankstown City Lions FC at Jensen Park.

Inter Lions FC strike duo Jenny Hughes and Paola Andrea Giraldo Uribe have contributed five goals thus far this season and hungry for more.

Coach John Di Biase has gelled this squad together and look to turn performances into results in the second half of the season.

Nepean FC were beaten 3-0 against league leaders Hills United FC on their home ground Cook Park.

Caitlin Abbass has shown glimpses of her form across the season and she is vital to them getting three points on Sunday.

While they might be struggling in the league, Nepean FC have a big tie in the Sapphire Cup against Western Sydney Wanderers on Wednesday night.

Central Coast Mariners FC vs South Coast Flame FC, Sunday 25 May, 5pm, Pluim Park

Central Coast Mariners FC face off against South Coast Flame FC at Pluim Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Mariners moved their Round 12 clash against Marconi Stallions to this coming Wednesday night at Marconi Stadium.

Coach Greg Hartge will have his side prepared for both games in what is a six-pointer week for the club.

He might look to Eliza Familton to push the side forward and add to her tally of six goals for the season.

South Coast Flame FC heads into this game refreshed after having the bye in Round 12 of the League One Women’s competition.

Striker Abbey Crapp has been filling the net for the Flame this season and she hopes to find the back of the net on the coast.

The Flame will be without defender and set piece wizard Alexis Malizis who saw red in their Round 11 clash against Sutherland Strikers FC.

Marconi Stallions FC has the bye

Sapphire Cup

There are three League One Women’s sides left in the Sapphire Cup competition for 2025 and all have tough ties coming up. League Leaders Hills United FC travel to face Macarthur Rams FC Lynwood Park on Wednesday night. Blacktown City FC have a tough test against a strong UNSW FC at Jensen Park while Nepean FC take the short trip to Wanderers Football Park to play NPLNSW newbies Western Sydney Wanderers FC. Those two games are also on Wednesday night.
