Sean Dyche Delivers Masterclass to Football NSW’s Aspiring A and Pro Licence Coaches

Former Everton and Burnley manager and one of English football’s most respected figures Sean Dyche delivered a valuable learning experience to Football NSW’s ‘A’ and Pro Licence coaches this week.
Dyche joined the group remotely for a Q&A session as they progress through their elite coaching qualifications.
Drawing on his extensive English Premier League experience, Dyche shared insights on building team culture, managing through adversity, training methodology, leadership, and the latest trends from elite football.
The 53-year-old also provided a detailed tactical analysis of one of his most notable career performances, giving coaches a behind-the-scenes look at his approach to preparing a team for high-stakes competition.
This specific session reflects Football NSW’s ongoing commitment to supporting the development of coaches at all levels.
Football NSW delivers a wide range of CPD events both online and in person across metropolitan and regional Sydney — from grassroots coaching workshops to specialised goalkeeper education sessions.
Now, with high-level CPD opportunities like this, Football NSW is also enhancing the development pathway for the next generation of elite coaches holding their A and Pro Diplomas.
“At Football NSW, it’s really important to us that coach development goes beyond just accreditation, events like this give coaches the chance to keep learning, stay connected, and hear directly from top-level professionals like Sean Dyche. It’s all about building a strong coaching culture where support is ongoing — no matter what level you’re coaching at,” said Chris Adams, Football NSW Coach Education Manager.
Members of the CPD webinar included several prominent figures from the NSW coaching community who have progressed through the Football NSW system into national roles. Among them were Macarthur FC’s A-League Mens Head Coach Mile Sterjovski and a host of notable coaches from this season’s National Premier Leagues Men’s and Women’s NSW competitions highlighting the strength and reach of the state’s coaching development pathway.
