Round 26 will bring down the curtain on another fabulous Football NSW League One Women’s competition with still plenty on the line across the weekend.

There are six games to finish off the season including a must-win Match of the Round between St George and Premiers Hills United FC so let’s get onto the preview!

Match of the Round: St George FC vs Hills United FC, Sunday 24 August, 4:30pm, Barton Park

St George FC have fate in their own hands against Hills United FC at Barton Park on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts had a 2-2 draw against fellow finals hopefuls SD Raiders FC at Ernie Smith Reserve last Sunday.

Janan Codmani was a goal scorer in the result and provides the engine for St George FC pushing forward.

Custodian Caitlin Russell has brought some steel between the sticks for the Saints and might be called upon on Sunday.

The equation is simple for St George. If they win, they will play finals football in 2025 and a chance for a third straight Grand Final appearance.

Hills United FC were 7-0 winners against Nepean FC in their coronation game at Valentine Sports Park last weekend.

Gemma Woolley headlined the win with a hat-trick and pairs well with Jess Wootton up front for the Premiers.

Both Rhanni Plummer and Rachel Glendenning chipped in with goals as well to furnish their impressive campaigns.

South Coast Flame FC vs Central Coast Mariners FC, Saturday 23 August, 3pm, Sir Ian McLennan Park

South Coast Flame FC host Central Coast Mariners FC kicking off the weekend at Sir Ian McLennan Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Flame had the weekend off in Round 25 and are refreshed to play spoiler in this contest on Saturday.

Bessie Riethmuller has shown across 2025 she can score from anywhere on the pitch and will need to be kept on guard.

Their finals hopes were extinguished after the Match of the Round result so South Coast Flame FC aim to finish the season on a high.

Central Coast Mariners FC won 1-0 against Marconi Stallions FC to almost sew up their finals spot in last week’s Match of the Round.

Claire Denning put in several dangerous crosses including a match-winning assist and the winger is a crucial part of the Mariners attack.

At the base of the midfield, Annalise Brewster made sure attacks were limited by the Stallions and she will do a similar job on the south coast.

Blacktown City FC vs Camden Tigers FC, Sunday 24 August, 5pm, Landen Stadium

Blacktown City FC take on Camden Tigers FC in their game at Landen Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts lost 5-0 against a high-powered Sutherland Strikers FC side down in the shire last weekend.

Layla Hamdan has broken through as a goal scorer for Blacktown City FC and might sign off with one more strike.

Alongside her, Amber Precious and Olivia Moar both have been constant presences for Blacktown City FC in 2025.

Camden Tigers lost 2-1 to Blacktown Spartans FC in a topsy-turvey contest at Ron Dine Reserve last weekend.

Eve Wilson will miss their final game of the season after her red card in the second half against the Spartans.

Up front, Jade Constance put them in the lead before the comeback and she gives them options off the bench.

Nepean FC vs Inter Lions FC, Sunday 24 August, 5pm, Cook Park

Nepean FC face off against Inter Lions FC in their contest to be played at Cook Park on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts were beaten 7-0 by a rampant Hills United FC in their game at Valentine Sports Park last weekend.

Despite the loss, it was a positive weekend for Nepean FC. They triumphed 1-0 against Camden Tigers FC in their mid-week catch-up.

Goal scorer in that win Caitlin Abbass hopes to tally in back-to-back contests and end her campaign on a high.

Inter Lions FC lost 1-0 in a tight tussle against Bankstown City Lions FC at Majors Bay Reserve last Sunday.

It has been an up and down season for Inter Lions FC but coach John Di Biase will take plenty of positives from it into 2026.

Ella Martins has featured in a majority of Inter Lions FC games this season and she will be ready for one last job on Sunday.

Blacktown Spartans FC vs SD Raiders FC, Sunday 24 August, 5pm, Blacktown Football Park

Blacktown Spartans FC take on SD Raiders FC down at Blacktown Football Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Spartans had an inspired 2-1 comeback against Camden Tigers FC at Ron Dine Reserve last weekend.

Rebeca Barreto Rodrigues kick started the comeback with her goal and gives them plenty of momentum into this game.

Their other scorer Angelique Lynch fired home the winner and is ending her season on a positive note.

SD Raiders FC had a pulsating 2-2 draw against St George FC in their game at Ernie Smith Reserve last Sunday.

It was another superb goal from Abigail Boag to add to her collection this season and she might be the game breaker they need in the finals.

SD Raiders FC are likely locked into second spot on the League One Women’s ladder and will have an eye on next weekend.

Bankstown City Lions FC vs Sutherland Strikers FC, Sunday 24 August, 5pm, Jensen Park

Blacktown City Lions FC face off against a resurgent Sutherland Strikers FC at Jensen Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Bankstown City Lions FC side earned a 1-0 win against Inter Lions FC in a prideful game last weekend.

Krystallia Kallidakis has led the line well in the back half of the season and might look to find the back of the net on Sunday.

They hope to finish the season with three wins on the bounce which coach Ante Covic can use as motivation for their next campaign.

Sutherland Strikers FC won 5-0 against Blacktown City FC in their final home game of the season at Harrie Denning Centre.

The goals flowed for the Strikers last weekend, scoring nine goals and picking up six points across Friday and Sunday.

Kirsty Fenton underlined her experience with a hat-trick against Inter Lions FC while Lucy Johnson also scored thrice against Blacktown City FC.
