2025 League One Women’s Grand Final Officials Announced
Football NSW has announced the match officials who have been appointed to this Sunday’s League One Women’s Grand Finals to be held at Valentine Sports Park.
The first-grade match official crew will be led by Mia Velarde, a member of Football NSW Referees Branch and Football Australia Referee Academy (FARA) originally from Manly Warringah Football Referees Association. Velarde has had a stellar season in 2025, which also saw her make her A-League Women’s debut as a fourth official.
Accompanying Mia will be Hannah Sheridan (Manly Warringah Football Referees Association) as Assistant Referee 1 and Casey Flemming (Football South Coast Referees) as Assistant Referee 2. Both are no strangers to finals football, having both recently been involved in the Sapphire Cup Grand Final 2025. Charlotte Flynn (Football South Coast Referees) who is also a member of the FARA has been appointed as fourth official.
For the U23’s match, Lilian Hayes has been appointed to referee. A member of the Football NSW Referees Academy, Hayes is originally from Central Coast Football Referees, and her performances during the season (including nomination to the Emerging Matildas Championship) has earnt her appointment to this match.
Assistant referees are Grace Williams (Nepean Referees Group) who is also a member of Football NSW Referees Academy, and Amelia Dimech (Hills Football Referees) a member of Football NSW RDP. Experienced A-League Women’s match official Amber Morris (Eastern Suburbs Football Referees Association) has been appointed as the fourth official.
“A massive congratulations to all the officials appointed to finals,” said Football NSW Referees Development & Education Manager, Emma Kocbek.
“These appointments are a testament to the hard work the officials put in all season and I wish them all the best for this honour match.”
