Bumper Weekend of Coach Education at Valentine Sports Park
Valentine Sports Park was buzzing with activity this weekend as Football NSW hosted a massive line-up of coach education events, drawing over 125 coaches from across the state.
With six courses running simultaneously at the iconic home of football, the weekend marked one of the most ambitious and wide-reaching coach development efforts in recent years.
Courses delivered at the venue included:
-
C Diploma
-
B Diploma
-
JDL Certificate
-
GK B Diploma
-
Foundation of Football
-
Foundation of Futsal
The action wasn’t limited to Valentine Sports Park alone.
In a show of state wide commitment, additional C Diploma courses were held in the Eastern Suburbs, Illawarra, and Central Coast, highlighting Football NSW’s dedication to developing coaches in every corner of the region.
This large-scale delivery was made possible by Football NSW’s strategic investment in expanding its network of Coach Education Tutors. Over the past year, multiple upskilling events have been held to ensure that every course is well-supported—with a minimum of two tutors per course, and in most cases, three—to provide the best possible learning experience for every participant.
“To have six courses showcasing the full coach education pathway running side by side at one venue is no mean feat,” said Football NSW’s Coach Education Manager Chris Adams.
“It really highlights the strength and dedication of our tutor team, who did an outstanding job delivering these sessions. A huge thanks to them, and of course, Valentine Sports Park for allowing us to bring the venue to life and showcase the quality of the facility.”
Football NSW continues to lead the way in coach education, providing opportunities for coaches of all levels to grow, connect, and contribute to the game.
