13 Girls Final

Norwest FC 1–0 Pitt Town FC

Norwest FC secured the 13 Girls Champion of Champions title with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Pitt Town FC, thanks to a stunning late strike from Lillian Gray.

The match was a tense and tightly contested affair, especially in the first half, which resembled a tactical chess match between two well-drilled sides. Melayna Biscoe led the line confidently for Pitt Town and looked dangerous on the break, while Norwest duo Isabella Ryan and Ruby Agius kept the opposition defence on high alert with their movement and pressing.

As the second half got underway, Pitt Town increased the tempo. A slick passing move involving Biscoe and Mika Jones resulted in a low drive that whistled just wide of the post from 20 yards out. Moments later, Imogen Wynne found space in the box but was brilliantly denied by the Norwest goalkeeper in what proved to be a key turning point.

The breakthrough finally came in the 52nd minute. Having grown into the match, Gray unleashed a thunderous strike from 25 yards that flew past the keeper and into the back of the net.

Gray nearly doubled the lead in the dying moments, weaving through three defenders with a dazzling solo run, only to be denied by a fine save from Azaylia Malouf.

It was a fittingly dramatic end to a closely fought contest, with Norwest FC lifting the title after a composed and disciplined performance.

Sporting Rovers FC 2–1 Lilli Pilli FC (AET)

Sporting Rovers FC were crowned 13 Boys Champion of Champions in thrilling fashion, overcoming Lilli Pilli FC 2-1 in extra time thanks to a golden goal from standout performer Lionel Martinez.

It was a blistering start at Valentine Sports Park as Martinez put the Rovers ahead in just the 2nd minute, drilling a low strike from the edge of the box into the bottom left corner.

Lilli Pilli responded immediately. Just three minutes later, a corner kick wasn’t cleared, and Lucas Merrick pounced to fire home the equaliser, setting the tone for a high-energy contest.

Martinez continued to threaten throughout the second half, first testing goalkeeper Connor Wells in the 42nd minute with a sharp drive from a tight angle that required a full-stretch save. Lilli Pilli countered with a chance of their own in the 46th minute when Jesse Govers broke down the right and squared it to Callum McKenna, but Lawrence Angelkovik held firm in goal for the Rovers.

The Kangaroos started brightly, creating the first chance through Jazz Crampton, who forced a save from the Maroubra goalkeeper. Moments later, Matilda Afonso broke free but saw her effort drift wide.

But it was Kirrawee who struck first. In the 13th minute, the ball fell kindly to Crampton in the box, and she calmly slotted it into the bottom corner. Just seven minutes later, she doubled her tally, curling home a superb effort from the edge of the area to give her team a 2-0 lead.

Maroubra had one final chance before the break, but the Kirrawee defence stood firm. In the second half, the Kangaroos pushed for more. Afonso and Crampton both tested Georgia Conquest in goal, who made several crucial saves to keep her side in the game.

But Lindfield responded almost immediately. Anna Pozzecco capitalised on a defensive lapse, winning the ball inside the area and firing home to level the score.

Pozzecco wasn’t done yet — the striker turned the game on its head in the 22nd minute with a brilliant solo run from her own half, outpacing the defence before finishing into the bottom corner to make it 2-1.

Lindfield controlled the tempo from then on and extended their lead in the 54th minute through Zoe Dawson, who intercepted a pass before firing a precise strike from the edge of the box.

15 Boys Final

Belrose-Terrey Hills Raiders SC 2–1 Ryde Panthers FC (AET)

Belrose-Terrey Hills Raiders SC clinched the 15 Boys Champion of Champions title in the most dramatic fashion possible — scoring with the final kick of extra time to defeat a valiant Ryde Panthers FC 2-1.

The Raiders started with intent, creating danger from the first whistle. Inside 60 seconds, Vikram Awati was forced into a defensive header to deny Mateo Silvestre near the box. Just moments later, Lucas Nuttall embarked on a dazzling solo run, only to be brought down at the edge of the area.

Ryde responded with composed possession and nearly struck in the 24th minute, as Jonathan Yao carved through midfield before his pass into the box was expertly cleared by Oscar Caunt. Just before half-time, Marcus Tabley went close, forcing a spectacular one-handed save from Luke Murrell after skipping past several defenders.

In the 43rd minute, the Raiders thought they had the opener when Kye Kearney cleverly backheeled the ball into the net, but the assistant’s flag cut celebrations short.

That disappointment was erased early in the second half. In the 50th minute, Nuttall again powered forward, leaving Rhys Chandler in his wake and catching David Moujalli off balance before calmly slotting home for a deserved 1-0 lead.

But Ryde were far from finished. In the 63rd minute, Tabley was brought down in the box, and Chandler stepped up to convert the penalty — confidently dispatching it past Murrell to make it 1-1 and send the match into extra time.

In the 15th minute of extra time, Ryde thought they had stolen it, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Moments later, Caunt came up with a heroic sliding tackle to deny Tabley a clear shot in the box.

With the game seemingly heading to penalties, Ryan Gough produced a moment of magic in the 120th minute, curling a stunning free kick into the top corner to win the match — sparking scenes of wild celebration.

Wakehurst FC 1–2 Lilli Pilli FC

Lilli Pilli FC capped off a remarkable season by adding the Champion of Champions trophy to their State Cup triumph, edging out Wakehurst FC 2-1 in a thrilling U16 Girls final.

They struck early, opening the scoring in the 11th minute. After Scarlett Hoerr won a free kick 35 yards out, Emeline Bourke stepped up and unleashed a sensational effort that soared past the Wakehurst defence and dipped perfectly under the bar — a goal of the highest quality.

Wakehurst responded with urgency after the break, searching for an equaliser with sustained pressure. But it was Lilli Pilli who doubled their lead in the 53rd minute. Hoerr again played a pivotal role, bursting onto a through ball and firing a shot that was brilliantly saved by Lauren Watts. The rebound, however, fell kindly for Isabella Paterson, who finished clinically to make it 2-0.

Wakehurst refused to lie down, and they pulled a goal back in the 65th minute. Amelia Ianni threaded a smart ball through the defence to Ilsa Quirk, who outpaced the backline, rounded the keeper, and calmly slotted home to bring her side within one.

The Entrance Bateau Bay FC were crowned Champion of Champions in the U16 Boys category after holding off a late charge from Eschol Park to win 2-1 in a gripping final.

It took just three minutes for Bateau Bay to make their mark. Off a deep free kick, Oscar Wallace whipped in a perfect delivery, and Dylan Rose rose highest to guide a brilliant header into the far corner — an ideal start for the Central Coast outfit.

Both sides then settled into an intense, high-quality contest with chances at both ends. It wasn’t until the 51st minute that the second goal arrived. With a single touch, he launched a spectacular dipping volley that flew over the keeper and into the net — an unstoppable strike to double the lead.

Eschol Park refused to go quietly and responded just six minutes later. Connor Mezzano-Lindner won the ball in midfield and threaded a perfectly weighted pass to Marcus Furnari, who calmly slotted home into the far corner to make it 2-1.

With momentum building, Eschol Park nearly found the equaliser in the 68th minute when Jackson Domanski rattled the crossbar with a long-range rocket. In the final moments, Bateau Bay goalkeeper Zaric Jones produced a string of clutch saves to preserve the lead and secure the title.

All Age Women Final

Lindfield FC 2–1 Coogee United FC (AET)

Lindfield FC were crowned Champion of Champions in the All Age Women’s division after a dramatic 2-1 extra-time victory over Coogee United FC at Valentine Sports Park.

Coogee started strongly, opening the scoring in the 12th minute. Holly Duncan received the ball inside the area and rifled it into the top corner, giving Bronte Finegan no chance. Just two minutes later, Duncan nearly doubled her tally, weaving through defenders before her effort was finally smothered.

Coogee continued to press, and Katie McCarthy found herself with a golden chance in the 16th minute, only for Finegan to make another sharp save. Lindfield had a rare chance just before half-time, but Kiara Hannon denied Molly Woods with a crucial block.

The second half saw Lindfield grow into the contest. In the 54th minute, Emily Wood made a surging run past Ella Munro, driving deep into Coogee’s defensive third. A minute later, Lindfield equalised in stunning fashion — Woods’ free kick struck the underside of the bar and bounced over the line to make it 1-1.

Both sides pushed for a winner, but the final pass often let them down. Eliza Apps sent a teasing ball through the defence in the 70th minute, but no one was there to finish. Later, Hannah Turl shot wide from distance, and Hannon’s free kick for Coogee was easily saved.

With the score level at full-time, the match headed to golden goal extra time. Ella Munro and Holly Duncan both came close to winning it for Coogee, but Lindfield held firm.

Then, in the second period of extra time, the moment arrived. Ciara O’Sullivan found herself in space and expertly looped the ball over Amy Singh, sealing a dramatic and emotional win for Lindfield.

All Age Men’s Final

Mosman FC 2 (4) – (2) 2 Waverley Old Boys FC

Mosman FC clinched the All Age Men’s Champion of Champions title with a 4-2 penalty shootout win over Waverley Old Boys FC after a thrilling 2-2 draw at Valentine Sports Park.

Waverley got off to a dream start in just the second minute, with Conrad Zylko curling a sublime free-kick into the top corner to make it 1-0.

Mosman responded with sustained pressure, nearly levelling through Mitch Steinberg, whose header was comfortably saved. As the first half wore on, they continued to threaten, with Harry Oates smashing a powerful effort off the crossbar in stoppage time.

Their persistence paid off just after the break, with Steinberg heading home in the 47th minute to make it 1-1. The momentum stayed with Mosman, and they took the lead in the 60th minute when a corner fell to Miles Lynch, who rifled it in from the edge of the box.

Waverley were handed a lifeline in the 78th minute when Ollie Twum was brought down in the area. Oisin Hogan stepped up and buried the resulting penalty to send the game to extra time.

With neither side able to find a winner in extra time, it came down to penalties. Mosman held their nerve, with goalkeeper Tom Field proving the hero by saving the final spot-kick to secure the title.

North Sydney United FC stormed to the Over 30 Women’s Champion of Champions title with a dominant 6-2 win over Epping FC in a free-flowing final.

Jarka Rey opened the scoring in the 8th minute, heading home with ease. But Epping hit back quickly, with Fatma Agar rifling a shot through the goalkeeper’s hands to level the score at 1-1 by the 11th minute.

Epping pulled one back in the 37th minute when their No.5 followed up her initial shot to score into an empty net. But North Sydney struck again before halftime, as Rey burst through the defence and calmly finished to make it 4-2.

Carroll extended the lead further just after the restart, weaving through defenders before blasting in her second. The result was put beyond doubt in the 45th minute when Lauren Graham wrong-footed the keeper and tucked away goal number six.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers 2 – 0 Dunbar Rovers FC

APIA Leichhardt Tigers claimed the Over 35 Men’s Champion of Champions crown with a composed 2-0 victory over Dunbar Rovers FC at Valentine Sports Park.

Chances were scarce in a tightly contested first half. APIA’s Reuben Lagos came closest, cutting inside the box and firing on goal, while Dunbar’s Patrick Millington-Buck struck the post just before halftime.

As the clock ticked into the final ten minutes, APIA found the breakthrough. Nefta Gonzalez and Stefan De Jesus combined brilliantly down the flank, with De Jesus squaring the ball to Nick Paradisis for a simple tap-in in the 81st minute.

With Dunbar pushing forward in search of an equaliser, APIA sealed the win in stoppage time. Gonzalez pounced on a loose ball from a failed set-piece and coolly finished past the keeper to secure a 2-0 win and the title.

Over 45 Men’s Final

Hurstville City Minotaurs 4 – 3 Wakehurst FC

Hurstville City Minotaurs came out on top in a seven-goal thriller to win the Over 45 Men’s Champion of Champions final against Wakehurst FC – its record breaking sixth title continuing coach Peter ‘the General’ Sarikakis’ dominance on this knockout competition.

Hurstville opened the scoring in the 4th minute when Peter Andrios was played in by Fouad Umlil and eventually converted after his initial effort was saved.

Wakehurst responded in the 17th minute, with Edward Fong chesting home a brilliant curling cross from Brian Casserly. Just four minutes later, Fong turned provider, squaring it to David Jeffs who slotted in to make it 2-1.

But Hurstville roared back. In the 27th minute, Hussein Jomaa unleashed a rocket into the bottom corner after a slick first touch to create space. Two minutes later, he struck again, dancing past defenders before finishing at the near post to put Hurstville 3-2 up.

Wakehurst made it 3-3 in the 66th minute with another Fong goal – this time a stunning solo strike to set up a frantic finale.

Hurstville had the final say in the 73rd minute. Tom Pontidas whipped in a cross and Umlil tucked it away to restore the lead — a goal that proved to be the match-winner.

A pulsating contest that showcased the best of Over 45s football ended in glory for Hurstville City Minotaurs.
