Match of the Round: Fraser Park FC vs Bankstown United FC
Last season: Fraser Park FC 2-1 Bankstown United FC, Bankstown United FC 1-0 Fraser Park FC
Fraser Park FC and Bankstown United FC will both hope to build on opening round wins when they clash in the Round 2 Match of the Round.
Last season, the respective home teams picked up the wins in the head-to-head, showing the power of home advantage.
Fraser Park came away 3-2 away winners over Camden Tigers FC last week and will hope to build on that to grab back-to-back wins to start the season.
New signings Mason Fernandez and Reuben Awaratife have made their mark early with a goal and a double, respectively, in the opening round and will hope to aid their team once more.
Expect Fraser Park to come into this match with confidence as they look to overcome Bankstown.
Bankstown United, meanwhile, picked up a 3-0 home win over Inner West Hawks FC in their opening fixture and will hope to also build on that.
Mitchell Cross got off the mark early in the season, the Bankstown talisman netting alongside new signing Hassan Kamberovic.
Expect Bankstown to settle into the match early as they look to continue to show their power under their new coach.
With Fraser Park and Bankstown both hoping to win back-to-back matches to start the season, expect plenty of high-quality play as both teams chase the three points.
Mounties Wanderers FC vs Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC, 8pm at Cook Park (Mt Pritchard)
Last season: Bonnyrigg White Eagles 4-0 Mounties Wanderers FC, Mounties Wanderers FC 2-1 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC
A local derby match between the two former League One sides sees Mounties Wanderers FC and Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC face off early in the season.
In the 2025 League One Men’s season, the respective home sides picked up the win; Mounties will hope to continue that form, while the White Eagles will hope to snatch the three points away from home.
Mounties opened their account in the League Two Men’s competition with a 4-1 away win over Granville Rage, the largest win of any team to start the year.
The group will be excited ahead of this match, being a derby, and will want to have bragging rights early in the season.
Expect Mounties to come out full of intensity at home as they look to not only grab three points, but make their mark on the local area, claiming pride.
Bonnyrigg, meanwhile, fell to a late 2-1 home loss to Central Coast United FC in last week’s Match of the Round to start the season but will hope to respond in the derby.
They will hope to utilise their possession well and create chances against what should be a strong Mounties defence as they look to score with intent.
Expect Bonnyrigg to want to show the best version of themselves in the derby as they look to respond from their opening round defeat.
With just three kilometres separating the two home grounds of these two teams, a real local derby is looking to brew as more than just the three points are on the line.

Inner West Hawks FC vs Nepean FC, 5pm at Arlington Oval
Last season: Nepean FC 1-1 Inner West Hawks FC, Inner West Hawks FC 1-0 Nepean FC
Two sides with contrasting opening weekends meet in Inner West Hawks FC and Nepean FC, both sides hoping to secure the three points.
Last season, Nepean scored late to secure a 1-1 home draw before the Hawks earned a tight 1-0 home victory; expect this clash to be just as tight.
Inner West Hawks will hope to respond to their 3-0 away loss to Bankstown United FC in the opening round.
The Hawks will hope to focus on their passing game, playing from the defence through to the midfield and attack, as they look to stick to their gameplan.
Expect the Hawks to put together a stronger performance against Nepean as they look to take their learnings from their first-week loss forward.
Nepean, meanwhile, recorded a 1-0 away win over one of the 2025 heavyweights, South Coast Flame FC, and will hope to build on their opening round win and clean sheet.
Jack Hoban picked up in this competition where he left off with a goal last week, while Nepean as a whole will be buoyed by their last-minute winner.
Expect Nepean to come into this match looking to be strong in defence once again as they look to earn back-to-back wins to start the year.
With the Hawks hoping to respond from their opening round loss and Nepean looking to start strong away from home to start the year, expect plenty of action in this match.
Central Coast United FC vs Camden Tigers FC, 5pm at Pluim Park
Last season: Central Coast United FC 0-0 Camden Tigers FC, Camden Tigers FC 4-0 Central Coast United FC
Central Coast United FC will hope to grab back-to-back wins to start the year against a Camden Tigers FC side hoping to bounce back from their opening round defeat.
Last season, a goalless draw preceded a 4-0 home win for Camden; expect this match to be just as unpredictable.
Central Coast United came from behind with two goals in two minutes to snatch a 90th minute win over Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC in last week’s Match of the Round and will hope to build off that victory.
With a gameplan to attack teams positively and fresh legs off the bench already showing their worth, the Pirates will hope to continue to put what they have learnt in pre-season into their matches.
Expect Central Coast to try and read Camden’s play well as they look to take the three points in their first home match of the season.
Camden, meanwhile, fell short of a comeback in a 3-2 home loss to Fraser Park FC to start the season but will hope to respond positively in the second round.
Despite the loss, Camden will hope their positive performance will bode well for them moving forward, with the positive attacking signs they showed in that match.
Expect Camden to be an attacking threat to Central Coast, hoping to grab the first goal and defend well against the Pirates.
With Central Coast United hoping to grab a win from their first match at home and Camden looking to show their attacking power away, expect both sides to take the match to their opponent.
Gladesville Ryde Magic vs Hawkesbury City FC, 5:30pm at Christie Park
Last season: Hawkesbury City FC 5-0 Gladesville Ryde Magic, Gladesville Ryde Magic 1-1 Hawkesbury City FC
Both Gladesville Ryde Magic and Hawkesbury City FC will hope to build off opening round wins when they meet in this Round 2 clash.
Last season, Hawkesbury recorded a strong 5-0 home win over the Magic, before Gladesville held the Hawks to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture.
Gladesville Ryde Magic held on for a 2-1 away win over Sydney University SFC last week and will hope to earn back-to-back wins to start the season.
The pace of the Gladesville side was on display last week, especially on the counter, an area of their game they will hope will be a strength against the Hawks.
Expect Gladesville to have an attacking game plan at home as they look to work their way through the Hawks defence for success.
Hawkesbury City, meanwhile, earned a 3-1 away win over Dunbar Rovers FC to start their season and will hope to show their power in front of goal away from home once again.
The young Hawks side, with seven played aged 20 or younger, will hope to once again show their might, led by the experience of the likes of Vincent Dermilio who, even at just 24, is showing his maturity.
Expect the Hawks to come at the Magic with youthful exuberance as they look to grab back-to-back wins to start the year.
With Gladesville and Hawkesbury both looking to show their attacking power in this match, expect plenty of chances as both sides chase the three points.
Sydney University SFC vs South Coast Flame FC, 7pm at Sydney University Football Ground
Last season: Sydney University SFC 1-2 South Coast Flame FC, South Coast Flame FC 3-3 Sydney University SFC
Both Sydney University SFC and South Coast Flame FC will hope to respond positively to respective opening round losses when they clash in Round 2.
Last season, the Flame earned a 2-1 away win over University before the reverse fixture saw a 3-3 draw; the Flame will hope to continue their dominance over the students, who have not beaten South Coast since the 2023 League Two Men’s season.
Sydney University mounted a late comeback but fell short in a 2-1 home loss to Gladesville Ryde Magic to start the season but will hope to respond in Round 2.
The young side will hope to have learnt a lot from that opening round loss and will look to take a positive attitude to a second-straight home match to start the year.
Expect University to play with enthusiasm as they look to earn their first win over the Flame in three years.
South Coast Flame, meanwhile, fell to a tight 1-0 home loss to Nepean FC last week but will hope to bounce back in another away fixture.
Having created plenty of chances in their opening match, the Flame will hope to be more clinical in front of goal as they look to overcome an energetic University side.
Look for the Flame to try and get back to the form they showed last season as they look to take home all three points.
With both sides hoping to respond from opening round defeats, expect Sydney University and South Coast Flame to both play their best game.
Dunbar Rovers FC vs Parramatta FC, 7pm at Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre
Last season: Dunbar Rovers FC 1-1 Parramatta FC, Parramatta FC 0-3 Dunbar Rovers FC
The final match of Round 2 sees Dunbar Rovers FC and Parramatta FC do battle, with both teams looking to get off the mark in 2026.
Last season, Dunbar went unbeaten against the Eagles with a home draw and away win; they will hope to extend upon that unbeaten streak while Parramatta will look to break it.
Dunbar Rovers fell to a 3-1 home loss to Hawkesbury City FC last week but will hope to put together a strong showing this week, playing at home for a second-straight match to start the year.
Dunbar will hope to play with more intent and decisiveness at home, as well as put in plenty of intensity in defence.
Expect Dunbar to show they have learned their lessons from their Round 1 loss as they look to take the match to the Eagles.
Parramatta, meanwhile, play their first match of the season following their Round 1 bye and will be eager to start the year on a positive note away from home.
They will come into this match hoping to showcase a high work rate and a positive attitude as they look to start the season with all three points in their first match.
Expect Parramatta to look to take a positive step forward in their first match of the season as they look to take down Dunbar.
With Dunbar looking to respond from their Round 1 loss and Parramatta hoping to showcase what they can do early in the season, expect both sides to put in a strong, spirited performance as they both chase the win.
Granville Rage has a bye in Round 2.
