NSW Sky U15s Crowned National Champions in Melbourne

New South Wales Sky Under 15 Girls have been crowned Champions at the 2026 CommBank Emerging Matildas Championships in Melbourne, capping off a standout campaign with a commanding performance in the final.

Selena Mifsud, Anabel Carbone and Rose Selimiotis were all on target as NSW defeated Football Queensland White to secure the national title, underlining the depth of talent within the state’s development pathway.

The triumph highlights the hard work, commitment and quality across the Football NSW system, with the Sky squad showcasing both skill and resilience throughout the tournament.

Football NSW also celebrated a series of individual honours, recognising the exceptional performances of its players and coaching staff.

Evie Murphy was named Under 15 Player of the Tournament, while Tessa Young claimed the Under 16 award. Selena Mifsud’s impressive campaign saw her secure the Under 15 Golden Boot with 10 goals, as well as Championship Final MVP honours, while Sophie Aungle took out the Under 16 Golden Boot with seven goals. Anissa Tann was also recognised as Under 15 Coach of the Tournament.
