Big results in the top half of the ladder saw the competition grow even closer following Round 11 of the 2026 Football NSW League Two Men’s season.

The Match of the Round this week saw Sydney University SFC continue their hunt to join that pack in a thrilling home win over Central Coast United FC.

Match of the Round: Sydney University SFC 2-1 Central Coast United FC

Sydney University SFC survived a late scare to come away with a thrilling 2-1 home win over Central Coast United FC in the Match of the Round.

Both sides shared possession and opportunities in the first half, but it was University who took the lead in the 26th minute when a deflected shot fell to Ko Tohara, who slotted the ball away for a 1-0 University lead.

The students doubled their lead just over a minute into the second half when Joseph Roddy won the ball off the Central Coast goalkeeper, Tadhg Callary, and put the ball away to double their advantage to 2-0.

Both teams then traded chances as the match progressed, both sides looking to their bench for fresh legs.

Central Coast scored a dramatic late goal in the 89th minute through Kirby Wilding to halve the deficit late as the match entered a tense period of stoppage time.

Tensions flared up late, with a yellow card for each team, including for Central Coast Head Coach Shannon Cole, but after a high-paced match with free-flowing football from both sides, University came away as 2-1 winners.

The win for University was their fourth win from their past six as they continued their strong form, while the loss for Central Coast was their first against the students in five attempts.

University will hope to continue their form when they travel to face Nepean FC next week, while Central Coast will hope to respond when they host Hawkesbury City FC.

Hawkesbury City FC 5-3 Camden Tigers FC

Hawkesbury City FC came from behind three times and scored their winning goals late to secure a 5-3 win over Camden Tigers FC in a dramatic match.

The first half was a back-and-forth affair, Camden taking the lead in the 12th minute on the break through Francesco Giannetto before Hawkesbury equalised three minutes later through Vincent Dermilio.

Camden took a 2-1 lead in the 29th minute when David Dileo got on the end of a corner routine for the visitors, but Hawkesbury struck back once again in the 36th minute, this time through Harrison Fox after he cut in from the right and scored.

Gianetto was at the double for Camden after the break, scoring in the 72nd minute after some pressure, but once more Hawkesbury fought back just three minutes later through Dermilio, who completed his double with a first-time volley to level the match at 3-3.

Hawkesbury took the lead for the first time in the 83rd minute when substitute Aaron Peterson got on the end of a Fox through ball and chipped the ball home to give the hosts a 4-3 lead.

From kick-off, Peterson won the ball and played a one-two with Wade Giovenali before he slotted the ball home to complete his double and give Hawkesbury a 5-3 win over Camden.

South Coast Flame FC 2-1 Fraser Park FC

South Coast Flame FC scored a late winner to overcome Fraser Park FC 2-1 in a battle between the two best defences in the league.

Neither side was able to take their chances in the first half, Lawrence Claxton hitting the crossbar for the Flame and Christian Dos Santos shooting just wide for Fraser Park.

The Flame continued their attack in the second half and found the opening goal in the 58th minute when Claxton intercepted a pass near halfway and took an audacious shot on from 40 yards, finding the top corner in a goal of the season contender.

Fraser Park struck back in the 66th minute when a free kick from George Grillakis found the head of Benjamin Astudillo, who scored to level the match at 1-1.

South Coast re-took the lead in the 82nd minute when a corner kick whipped into the middle of the box found substitute Luke Hoefsloot at the back post; he tapped the ball in to give the Flame a 2-1 win over Fraser Park.

The win for the Flame saw them bounce back from their last start loss, while the loss for Fraser Park was their first in four.

Bankstown United FC 1-4 Parramatta FC

Parramatta FC continued their strong scoring form, scoring four goals in back-to-back weeks, following a strong 4-1 away win over Bankstown United FC.

Parramatta opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Marco Sama, who lost his defender and got on the end of a ball from Darragh Reynor, slotting the ball home for the visitors.

The second half saw Parramatta double their lead in the 53rd minute through substitute Omer Gebril, who scored with his first touch of the match, finishing off a free-kick routine.

Both sides were reduced to ten men just three minutes later when a challenge on Parramatta’s Marco Sama saw Bankstown’s Mitchell Edmunds and Sama involved in a confrontation; both players were sent off for their actions.

Bankstown pulled a goal back in the 65th minute through Ayush Baniya, who received the ball following a Parramatta turnover and found the top corner.

However, it was Parramatta who finished the match stronger, Mahamed Osman scoring two goals in stoppage time to ensure Parramatta came away with the win, 4-1.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 2-1 Nepean FC

Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC responded to back-to-back losses with a big 2-1 home win over Nepean FC.

Bonnyrigg opened the scoring in the 6th minute from the penalty spot, Milan Subotic slotting the ball away to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.

Nepean struck back in the 34th minute when Toby Witjes continued his strong form and found the back of the net to level the match at 1-1 at half-time.

After the break, in the 51st minute Vlado Suput, starting his first match of the season, scored his first goal of the season to secure a 2-1 home win for the Eagles.

The win for Bonnyrigg their third from their past five, while Nepean went five matches without a win.

Granville Rage 5-2 Gladesville Ryde Magic

A hat-trick from Timothy Borg-Williams led Granville Rage to a big 5-2 home win over Gladesville Ryde Magic.

Borg-Williams scored in the 2nd minute to set the tone for the hosts, but goals from Stavros Palapanis and George Palapanis either side of half-time gave Gladesville a 2-1 lead.

Borg-Williams scored in the 64th and 73rd minute to complete his hat-trick and give Granville the lead back, late goals from Jad Moussa and Tobia Welfare, respectively, sealing a strong result for the hosts.

Dunbar Rovers FC 1-0 Inner West Hawks FC

Dunbar Rovers FC came away with a tight 1-0 win over Inner West Hawks FC in what was a tight contest.

Following a close first half, Dunbar capitalised on a Hawks’ mistake in the 65th minute, Zachary Marinos scoring off the bench to give the hosts the lead.

The fitness in the Dunbar squad saw them hold on late as they came away 1-0 winners, Dunbar keeping their second-straight clean sheet.
