Round 11 Preview – League One Women’s
Round 11 of the Football NSW League One Women’s competition promises another compelling weekend of action.
As the weather cools, the intensity continues to rise, with six matches on the schedule — including a standout Match of the Round between Sutherland Strikers FC and Blacktown Spartans FC.
Match of the Round: Sutherland Strikers FC vs Blacktown Spartans FC
Sunday 10 May, 5:00pm – Harrie Denning Centre
Sutherland Strikers FC host Blacktown Spartans FC in a key Sunday afternoon clash.
The Strikers will be eager to respond after a tough 6-1 defeat to league leaders SD Raiders FC last weekend. They’ll look to leading scorer Ella Munro to provide a spark in attack, while Felicity McNeill — ever-present this season — will again play a crucial role.
Blacktown Spartans come into the match full of confidence after a 4-2 win over Central Coast Mariners FC. Melina Visser was among the goalscorers and will pose a threat with her pace, while Alannah Putica’s creativity — highlighted by two assists last weekend — will be key.
This match will be streamed LIVE on the Football NSW YouTube channel, with Chrisos Mavromoustakos on commentary.
St George FC vs Nepean FC
Sunday 10 May, 4:30pm – Barton Park
St George FC welcome Nepean FC to Barton Park in an important fixture for both sides.
The Saints picked up a point in a 1-1 draw with Inter Lions FC last weekend, with Janan Codmani finding the net and combining well with Caitilin Webster. Danielle Rutstein also made her return from the bench and will be pushing for more minutes.
Nepean FC were narrowly beaten 1-0 by South Coast Flame FC and will be looking to bounce back. Debutants Ripeka Robbins and Aaliyah Wali showed promise, and coach Sean Payer will be eager for a response as his side looks to stay in touch with the top four.

The Tigers went down 3-0 to Blacktown City FC last weekend but continue to showcase promising young talent, including Jiselle Petrovski and Naomi Hart. Their defensive resilience will again be tested.
