New Season, New Stars: 2026 Futsal Premier League Fixtures Released
Football NSW is set for another blockbuster summer of futsal with the release of the 2026 Futsal Premier League and Futsal Premier League Two fixtures, confirming Round 1 will kick off on Saturday 12 September 2026.
The upcoming season is shaping as one of the biggest yet, with both competitions continuing to showcase a blend of established Australian futsal talent and the next generation of stars aiming to break through to the national and international stage.
The Futsal Premier League will once again feature eight clubs competing across nine age groups: 12 Boys, 13 Girls, 14 Boys, 15 Girls, 16 Boys, 17 Girls, 19 Men, Open Women and Open Men. Each team will face each opponent twice in a home-and-away round-robin format, with a Premier crowned at the conclusion of the regular season.
From there, the competition intensifies, with the top four teams progressing to the Championship Series, where a Major Semi Final and Minor Semi Final will determine the two sides who advance to the Grand Final to be played at ‘The Centre’, Dural. The winner will be crowned Championship Winners ahead of the Christmas break.
Clubs competing in the Futsal Premier League include Dural Warriors, Eastern Suburbs Hakoah Futsal Club, Mascot Vipers, Mountain Majik Futsal Club, South Coast Taipans (newly promoted), Sydney Allstars, Sydney Futsal Club and UTS Northside Futsal Club.
The pathway system remains a key feature of the competition, with the Futsal Development League continuing to run alongside the Premier League structure. This initiative includes 11 Boys and 11/12 Girls teams, providing a strong introduction to futsal in a club-aligned environment, with matches played prior to the 12 Boys fixtures each week. No league tables or points are recorded, with the focus firmly on participation and development.
The Futsal Premier League 2 will again operate as the second tier of futsal in New South Wales, also kicking off in the summer season and building towards Grand Finals prior to Christmas.
Like the top division, FPL2 features eight clubs competing across nine age groups: 12 Boys, 13 Girls, 14 Boys, 15 Girls, 16 Boys, 18 Women, 19 Men, Open Women and Open Men. The same round-robin structure applies, with teams playing each other twice before a Premier is decided.
The top four teams will advance to the Championship Series, featuring the same Major and Minor Semi Final format, leading into a Grand Final to decide the Champions which will be played at ‘The Centre’, Dural.
Clubs competing in Futsal Premier League 2 include APIA Futsal Club, Boomerangs FS, Central Coast United Futsal Club, Macarthur Rams Futsal Club (newly introduced, replacing Quake and strengthening the football-to-futsal pathway), Phoenix Futsal Club, Raiders Futsal, SD Raiders Futsal and West City Crusaders FC.
Football NSW Competition Coordinator Wade Giovenali said the upcoming season continues to highlight the strength and growth of futsal across the state.
“The Futsal Premier League continues to grow each year, and 2026 is shaping as one of our most exciting seasons yet,” Giovenali said.
“We’re proud of the level of talent across both divisions, from current Australian representatives through to emerging players who are taking their first steps in the game.
“The structure of the competition, along with the Development League, ensures we are providing a clear pathway for players, coaches and referees to progress within futsal in New South Wales.”
With Round 1 locked in for September, anticipation is building for another fast-paced, high-skill and highly competitive futsal season across the state.
