Road to Glory: 30 Clubs Set for Football NSW State Cup Finals Showdown
The 2026 Football NSW State Cup Finals are set to take centre stage on Sunday 12 July at the Home of Football in NSW, Valentine Sports Park, with one of the state’s premier knockout competitions culminating in a massive finals day.
As one of the largest Football NSW-run knockout tournaments, the State Cup Finals will feature 15 matches across the day, showcasing the best-performing teams from across the state in a celebration of grassroots football excellence.
A total of 30 clubs from various associations will battle it out for the right to be crowned champions in their respective age groups, following a demanding and highly competitive journey through the knockout stages to reach the finals.
Manly Warringah Football Association continues to underline its strength in the knockout competition, once again leading the way with seven teams qualifying for finals day. The association also set the benchmark in 2025 with 10 teams represented, reinforcing its sustained dominance in State Cup competitions.
At club level, Northern Suburbs Football Association’s Lindfield FC leads all clubs with four teams represented, more than any other club in New South Wales. They are closely followed by several strong contributors across the state, including Manly Warringah FA’s Collaroy Cromer Strikers FC, Sutherland Shire Football Association’s Kirrawee Kangaroos FC, and Football St George’s Rockdale City Suns FC, each with two teams progressing to finals day.
Representation across the event highlights the depth of community football in NSW, with clubs also qualifying from Bankstown (1), Blacktown (2), Eastern Suburbs (2), Football South Coast (1), Nepean (1), Northern Suburbs (5), Southern Districts (2), and Sutherland (5).
The State Cup Finals also carry significant historical importance, with the competition honouring two key Football NSW figures through its trophies: the Andrew Robertson Cup (Men’s 21s) and the Bill Cullinan Cup (All Age Men), recognising their long-standing contribution to the game.
Football NSW Competitions Coordinator Kim Burge said the State Cup Finals continue to represent the best of community football across the state.
“This event is always a special occasion because it brings together clubs from all corners of New South Wales,” Burge said.
“To see so many teams qualify for finals day is a credit to the players, coaches, volunteers and associations who contribute to the game every week. It’s a true celebration of community football.”
