Round 22 Preview – League Two Men’s
Six points separate second from tenth on the Football NSW League Two Men’s ladder and Round 22 promises to see those league positions shaken up further with some crucial matches ahead.
Match of the Round: Inner West Hawks FC vs Camden Tigers FC
Saturday, 4 July 2026 – 5pm, Arlington Oval
A battle near the bottom of the league sees two teams with pride to play for face off in Inner West Hawks FC and Camden Tigers FC.
13th-placed Inner West will hope to snap a five-match winless streak against a Camden side they lost to for the first time in seven head-to-head matches in the reverse fixture. A win for Inner West could see them rise two spots to 11th on the ladder, while a loss could see them drop to 14th.
Last-placed Camden Tigers FC will hope to earn just their second win of the season, coming up against the only side they have beaten in the league this season in the Hawks. Looking to complete the league double, a win for Camden would be their first in 14 matches.
With Inner West looking to make a push up the ladder late and Camden looking to complete the league double and play for pride, both sides will have their motivations to come out on top in this clash.
Nepean FC vs Mounties Wanderers FC
Friday, 3 July 2026 – 8pm, Jamison Park
10th-placed Nepean FC will hope to snap a three-match losing streak and put themselves right back in the promotion playoff race when they host the league leaders, a team they lost 5-0 to in the reverse fixture. A win for Nepean could see them rise to as high as 4th, while a loss could see them drop to as low as 12th and dent their promotion chances.
League leaders Mounties Wanderers FC will hope to take another step towards the league title and promotion, the side sitting 17 points ahead of the chasing pack and hoping to earn a win after their 1-1 draw last week with Dunbar Rovers FC. A win for Mounties could see them extend their lead atop the ladder to 20 points, while a loss would be just their third of the season.
Sydney University SFC vs Bankstown United FC
Friday, 3 July 2026 – 8pm, Sydney University Football Ground
9th-placed Sydney University SFC got their promotion push back on track following a 2-0 home win over Fraser Park FC last week and will hope to earn back-to-back wins for the first time since Rounds 12 and 13. A win for University could see them rise to as high as 4th on the ladder, while a loss could see them drop to as low as 12th.
14th-placed Bankstown United FC have not lost to University in their past seven head-to-head matches and come into this match off a bye, hunting their first win in seven league matches. A win for Bankstown could move them up a spot to 13th, while a loss would keep them in 14th.
Hawkesbury City FC vs Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC
Saturday, 4 July 2026 – 5pm, David Bertenshaw Field
5th-placed Hawkesbury City FC went six matches unbeaten after their 2-0 away win over Inner West Hawks FC last week and will hope to continue to rise when they host Bonnyrigg, the side sitting just behind them on the ladder. A win for the Hawks could see them rise to 3rd on the ladder and put them level on points with 2nd-placed Parramatta FC in the tight race for promotion.
6th-placed Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC have lost ground in the promotion race, winning just one of their past five matches, but will hope to complete the league double over Hawkesbury, Asmir Kadric scoring a hat-trick in the reverse fixture. A win for Bonnyrigg could see them rise to as high as 3rd, while a loss could see them drop to as low as 10th.
South Coast Flame FC vs Central Coast United FC
Saturday, 4 July 2026 – 5pm, Sir Ian McLennan Oval
12th-placed South Coast Flame FC are winless in seven matches but are unbeaten in their past five head-to-head matches against Central Coast United FC and will be hopeful of causing an upset. A win for the Flame could see them rise to as high as 9th, while a loss could see them drop one spot to 13th.
7th-placed Central Coast United FC have won five matches in a row and are unbeaten in their past nine, including seven wins in that, with a push up the ladder seeing them in contention for promotion. A win for Central Coast could see them rise to as high as 3rd on the ladder, while a loss could see them drop to as low as 10th.
Gladesville Ryde Magic vs Parramatta FC
Saturday, 4 July 2026 – 5pm, Christie Park
11th-placed Gladesville Ryde Magic will hope to respond to a tough loss away to Central Coast United FC last week, hoping to complete the league double over Parramatta FC as was done against them in the 2025 season. A win for Gladesville could see them rise to as high as 8th on the ladder, while a loss could see them drop to as low as 13th.
2nd-placed Parramatta FC have the all-important ladder position ahead of a chasing pack of half the competition behind them and will hope to maintain that the Magic. Sitting on 33 points, a win for Parramatta would see them maintain a three-point lead ahead of as many as three teams behind them, while a loss would see them remain 2nd on goal difference.
Granville Rage vs Dunbar Rovers FC
Saturday, 4 July 2026 – 7pm, Garside Park
8th-placed Granville Rage will hope to build off their big away win last week and make a statement in the hunt for promotion, chasing down a Dunbar Rovers FC side they have not beaten in their past three meetings. A win for Granville could see them rise to as high as 3rd on the ladder, while a loss could see them drop to as low as 11th.
4th-placed Dunbar Rovers FC are unbeaten in four matches but will be fighting for a win following back-to-back draws as they look to continue their chase for 2nd spot. A win for Dunbar would see them rise to 3rd on the ladder, while a loss could see them drop to as low as 9th.
3rd-placed Fraser Park FC have a bye in Round 22.
