Official: 2009 Arrive alive Women?s Premier and Super League Draws released

The Arrive alive Women?s Premier League competition will once again take an eight team format with round 1 set for kick off on the 29th of March 2009.
2008 Arrive alive Super League Club Championship winners the Illawarra United Stingrays won promotion into NSW?s top tier women?s competition.
The South Coast based club have already stated their intent on staying put in NSW top tier competition after they completed the signing of W-League Central Coast Mariners star Trudy Camilleri.
The Stingrays? first assignment is against 2008 Arrive alive Grand Final winners the Macarthur Rams at J.J. Kelly Park.
Other round 1 encounters see Manly United FC take on Sydney University, Marconi Stallions clash with Penrith Nepean United and the Sutherland Sharks take on the NWS Koalas.
The 2009 Arrive alive Women?s Super League will be equally as exciting with the competition set for a 10-team format.
The Central Coast Lightning will be hoping to bounce back once again into the women?s top flight competition after they were relegated finishing last in the 2008 Club Championship in the Women?s Arrive alive Premier League.
The Lightning?s first task is against Southern NSW FC while other matches see the Northern Tigers clash with the Gladesville Ravens, Western NSW Panthers FC take on the Blacktown Spartans and the Bankstown Wildcats are at home to St George FC.
An interesting encounter in the Women?s Arrive alive Super League will see Inter Lions tackle the Sydney Tigers who are a new face in the women?s game.
The Tigers, led by coach Tarek Madani, have strengthened their squad by announcing the signing of former Marconi and NWS Koalas star Alicia Cavanagh to its playing ranks.
