NIKE Manchester United Premier Cup ? Australian Finals 2009

This tournament is held each year for giving the Under 15 teams from the Premier Youth Leagues an opportunity for a pseudo National Knock-out Competition.
The Marconi Stallions Coached by Pat Faga and Campbell Clout turned on some spectacular football as they defeated Brimbank Stallions (Vic), Souths United (Qld) and West Adelaide (SA) with a draw against Hunter Valley (NSW).
The Marconi Stallions went into the Final knowing that previous results meant for nothing unless they can account for Melbourne team Brimbank Stallions, which Marconi defeated in the opening encounter.
The day belonged to Marconi as they defeated Brimbank 5 ? 0 and edged closer to a dream prize of an all expenses paid trip to England.
Only one match remains to be played in this tournament to decide the Australasian Champion, when the Marconi Stallions meet the New Zealand Champions in a few weeks time.
The winning team will be flown to Manchester, England to participate in the World Finals being held August this year.
