Northern Tigers 6 – Sutherland Shire 2
Sutherland Shire saw an early 2-0 lead wither away as they lost 5-2 in a see-sawing affair on Saturday afternoon.
The Northern Tigers began the game slow however after working their way into the match their magic began working.
Goals to Aleisha Wawn, Louise Nevill, Louise Cibatta and Rehanna Nathwani saw the Tigers open their account with a victory.
UTS Barcelona 3 Hills Brumbies 0  
UTS Barcelona did not even have to get onto the field this weekend as the Hills Brumbies forfeited their match with consequently gave them a 3-0 loss.
Boomerangs FS 5 Enfield Rovers 2
Futsal Super League newcomers Boomerangs FS began their season in style with a 5-2 victory over the Enfield Rovers.
Boomerangs began in an attacking fashion forcing Rovers goalkeeper Ingrid Haralovic to make a number of saves in goals.
The barrage of attack continued as the Boomerangs scored a cracking free kick for the 1-0 lead. Almost immediately however Christina Ferreyra equalised the score with a shot from wide out on the right.
The Tigers then went up 2-1 as a poor pass at the back from Maree Di Martino allowed Taylor Watt to pounce and give her team the lead.
Seconds before the half time break and the Boomerangs found their equaliser as Becky Roche scored from a corner.
The second half began with both teas increasing the intensity in attack and defence. Both sides tried to find the back of the net however failed up until the final minutes of the match as the Boomerangs ran away with the match scoring three goals and ending it at a 5-2 score line.
South Taipans 12 Maccabi Hakoah 0
South Taipans delivered the biggest score line in the Open Women?s Futsal Super League competition this weekend with an emphatic 12-0 win over Macabbi Hakoah.
After a slow start, the Taipans got on top in the game with Manisso Micheal opening the scoring.
Further goals by Christine Clamente, Camile Augustyn and Micheal gave the Taipans a 5-0 lead going into the break.
The Taipan?s gave a run out for the young under 16 goalkeeper Elyse Finlayson in the second half, but she was to be rarely called upon as the match continued to be a one sided affair.
A goal for Belinda Griffith and three more each for Christine Clemente and Justine Clemente sealed an emphatic 12-0 victory for the South Coast Taipans.
