Manly duo return for NSW Premier League season in 2010

Coach Phil Moss has welcomed the pair back with open arms after both took the year off in 2009 to pursue overseas travels and family business interests respectively.
Hamad is a tenacious left-sided player while Julliard is a take-no-prisoners central defender and will help fill the void left by retired pair Spencer Prior and Matt Bingley.
?It?s great to have ?Berto? and ?Paccy? back in the fold,? Moss said.
?They are both Manly United boys at heart and know what is expected of players at this club and both will come back wiser and more experienced players.
?Roberto has had some experience playing overseas in Holland during his travels and Pascal played local league in Manly-Warringah with Brookvale this year and took on added responsibility at that club which will serve him well coming back to NSWPL level.
?They have looked strong in pre-season and will no doubt add to what we already have. I?m looking for both of them to take on a more senior leadership role within the squad next year.?
The core of the squad will remain the same in 2010 with Brad Swancott, Scott Thomas, Andrew Mailer, Joey Schirripa, Joel Grenell, Shaun Bowden, Rhyss Keane, Brad Groves, Keith Shevlin, Robbie Cattanach and Craig Midgley all signing on for another year at the Northern Beaches club.
Midgley ? who is in the process of completing his AFC A-Licence ? will double as Moss? assistant coach.
?It?s great to have ?Midge? alongside me as he has a very smart football brain and will be invaluable on and off the field,? Moss said.
?Once he passes his A-Licence that will give us three A-Licence coaches along with myself and Richy Williams (Grade 20 who will be assisted by Louis Dimitropoulos, who took the club?s Grade 18 side to last season?s grand final) so I?m delighted with the coaching staff we have assembled.?
Youngsters Andrew Hayward and Mitch Macedo have also retained their places in the top grade while Jimmy Oates, Chris Gallo and Alex Hunt have been promoted from last season?s Grade 20 squad.
?We have obviously lost a bit of experience with Spencer and Bingers retiring and Ash Ryan (overseas) is another loss but I feel we have some quality youngsters coming through who will get their chance if they perform,? Moss said.
?The likes of Mitch and Jimmy got some first grade experience last season and I?m looking for them to push hard for a regular spot next year.?
Another player to keep an eye on is Justin Hayward, younger brother of Andrew, who has joined the Grade 20 squad from last year?s Grade 18s.
He played a few first grade games last season and Moss is predicting his time in the Grade 20s will be short-lived.
?We have high hopes for Justin because he is a fast learner and has very good physical attributes,? Moss said.
?He is a natural finisher and proved last year he can mix it with the senior boys so I?m hoping he continues his development in 2010 and plays more first grade football.
?He has been training with Steve O?Connor?s Sydney FC Youth squad and looks to be in great shape as a result.?
The squad has been in training since November 16 and will play Sydney FC Youth (Dec 9), Dulwich Hill (Dec 13) and Bonnyrigg (Dec 19) before Christmas.
