Football Australia has confirmed a second national webinar for match officials, led by respected Sports Psychologist Dr Liam Slack, following strong engagement with the first session focused on managing match-day pressure.

The upcoming webinar will centre on decision making strategies under the theme “parking with purpose”, aimed at helping referees process on-field decisions more effectively and maintain focus throughout the match.

With every game presenting hundreds of decisions for match officials, Dr Slack will guide participants through practical strategies designed to help referees move on quickly after each call, reset mentally, and redirect attention to the next phase of play. He brings more than 15 years of experience working in elite sport environments.

The session is open to all match officials across Australia and is designed to support referees at every stage of their officiating journey, from grassroots to elite level.

Football Australia’s initiative continues its focus on referee development and wellbeing, building on the success of its previous webinar series aimed at strengthening performance under pressure.
