The wet weather finally claimed victims this weekend but the casualties were fortunately kept to a minimum and did not cause a lot of distortion to the various competition tables. Those tables have finally taken a recognisable shape and while there will be many changes over the course of the season, some patterns are beginning to become very clear.
Overview
Sydney Olympic must have been very pleased with the twelve points they took from the four games played against Rockdale City Suns and Sutherland Sharks would have been delighted with their haul of thirteen points from their encounter with APIA Leichhardt Tigers.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles bagged nine points from their clash with Bankstown City while Manly United went home with eight points after they visited West Sydney Berries.
In the western suburbs derby Marconi Stallions and Sydney United split the spoils at seven points each while the meeting between South Coast Wolves and Blacktown City was washed out.
Grade 13
Unbeaten Manly United began the day in the top position on the table and they would have been expecting a tough time as third placed West Sydney Berries had put together a string of five wins since their opening day loss. The Berries proved that their recent form was no fluke when they came away with all the points following their 3-2 victory, an outcome that moved them up to second place and dropped Manly back to third.
Marconi Stallions came into this game in fine form with wins in all of their previous five matches, scoring thirty-nine goals along the way and conceding none while eighth placed Sydney United?s form had been a bit patchy but they were coming off a last match win. The Stallions continued their excellent form with a stunning 8-0 result and that was enough to take them to the top of the table while United are still eighth.
Fourth placed Sutherland Sharks had posted a mixed bag of results in their first six outings including last week?s loss while twelfth placed APIA Leichhardt Tigers had ended a four match losing streak with a win last time out. The Sharks were a bit too good for the Tigers this time as they produced a 3-1 win to stay at fourth while Leichhardt are still twelfth.
Sydney Olympic kicked off this week?s match in fifth position with two wins and two draws to show for their first six games while Rockdale City Suns were thirteenth and yet to earn their first point for the season. Olympic showed no mercy as they recorded a 10-0 victory to remain at fifth and leave the Suns at the foot of the table.
With one win from their first six games Bonnyrigg White Eagles started the day in eleventh position while Bankstown City were ninth with a win and a draw coming from their opening five matches. The White Eagles posted their second win with a 2-0 result and they have climbed to ninth while the Lions are now tenth.

Bonnyrigg pulled one back early in the second half but then A. Arbelo converted a penalty kick in the 54th minute to secure the 4-1 result for the Lions.
