Chianese striving for the top

?Last year I felt my team didn?t quite have that winning mentality and it cost us but the coach has really made a difference in that department.?
Joining late there was no way the lad would walk straight into the side so he continues: ?Yeah, it was a case of joining the Premier League after the start so all I could do was put my head down in training and put in hard and hopefully do enough to get a first team start.
?We have a big squad at Blacktown so it provides plenty of healthy competition and when your are in the starting eleven you really want to stay there and need to work hard to maintain your place if you don?t want to lose your spot.?
With the leading clubs beating each other regularly this season, and with some tough games coming up in the next few weeks, how hard is it to keep focussed on the remaining games?
? That?s true and although you look ahead to the next game you are always wary about the teams just behind you because a couple of bad results can put you outside the top five sides and miss out.
?We beat Bonnyrigg quite convincingly and they are the top club this season but there isn?t a lot between the sides and anyone can win on the day so you just concentrate on the matter in hand and look to take the points you can and not worry too much about things outside of your control really.?
With that in mind, what has Chianese set his sights on and what is his ambition?, ?I?ve never won the Premier League so that is something I really want to do but playing well in each game is very important to me as well and if that were to happen I would hope that when I get back to Sydney FC I can force my way into the 1st team there and see where it takes me.
?First things first though, I want to play well for Blacktown for the remainder of the season, avoid injury and hopefully pick up some silverware.?
Good lad, feet on the ground and ambitious and who is to say he won?t turn those targets into reality in the near future?
