Overview
Sutherland Sharks had taken nine points from their last meeting with Parramatta FC but it was a different story this week when the clubs split the points at seven apiece. The Sharks are still the best performed club while Parramatta are ranked sixth.
Marconi Stallions secured nine points from their first round encounter with Bonnyrigg White Eagles and this time the Stallions collected thirteen points from the fixture to remain at second while Bonnyrigg have dropped back one place to eighth.
Last time they saw Blacktown Spartans, Manly United pocketed all fifteen of the points but on this occasion the clubs shared the spoils at seven points each, leaving Manly at third and the Spartans at ninth.
Sydney Olympic bagged thirteen points from their last clash with South Coast Wolves and history repeated as Olympic once again slipped thirteen points into their collective pockets to remain at fourth and the Wolves are still twelfth.
When they met in the first round Blacktown City earned eight points from the fixture against APIA Leichhardt Tigers who really turned the tables this time when they earned twelve points from the day. City have clung onto fifth position and the Tigers have climbed one place in the rankings to seventh.
The first round fixture between Sydney United 58 and Rockdale City Suns ended with the clubs sharing the spoils at seven points apiece. This time United took seven points from the four matches played and that left the Suns with four points to show for their efforts. They have remained in tenth and eleventh positions respectively.
Grade 13
At this stage the leaders have a handy buffer and the next three teams seem certain to qualify for the finals series, although there could well be a number of changes in their pecking order. There will be genuine interest in which team will finish fifth as there are currently three teams still in the running for that final position in the play-offs.
Sydney Olympic were 2-0 winners last time they faced South Coast Wolves and this week Olympic completed the double with a 4-2 result to stay at the top of the table and leave the Wolves in twelfth position. Olympic added another three points to their tally when they defeated the SAP U/15 Girls with a 5-0 scoreline after the teams had battled out a scoreless first round draw.
Manly United posted a 4-0 result in their first round clash with Blacktown Spartans and Manly went on with the job with a 2-0 victory this time, leaving them in second spot and the Spartans are still tenth.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers and Blacktown City had shared the first round points when that match ended at 0-0 but the fourth placed Tigers took all the points this week thanks to a 2-1 result that has left City in eleventh position.
Sutherland Sharks had suffered a 2-1 first round loss to Parramatta FC and this week the Sharks made amends with a 3-1 success that has moved them up one place to fifth and left Parramatta in ninth place.

There have been some changes to the look of this table this week but it appears that the current top four will all appear in the finals series with the final order yet to be decided. Then there is the battle for fifth place with five teams all looking for an opportunity to lock it up for themselves.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers recorded a 3-0 victory last time they faced Blacktown City and the Tigers went one better this time when they won 4-0. They have stayed at the top of the table and City are still in eleventh position.

The unbeaten competition frontrunners have an unassailable lead and there now most of the attention will turn to the battle for the other four places in the finals as there are still six teams engaged in that intriguing contest.

Marconi picked up an extra three points when they were 6-0 winners over the Skilleroos in a Round 5 catch-up match.

All of that means that Parramatta have jumped from seventh to fourth and that the Sharks have fallen from third to sixth.

The competition leaders cannot possibly be caught and there is considerable interest  in which teams will join them in the finals series as there are still seven teams trying to squeeze into those four remaining places.

That may have blotted Sutherland?s copybook but it could not remove them from the top of the table nor take away the title as Premiers. Parramatta have remained at fourth.
