Grade 13
Last week there were three teams still in the running for the title but that has been reduced to two contenders and while that will be interesting, so will the race to the wire for the next four teams who will be looking for the best possible finish and a big part of that will be determining which of them will play in the finals and which one will miss out.
Sydney University suffered a 3-1 loss in their first round match against Dulwich Hill but Uni made amends for that with a 2-0 win this week to remain at the top of the table and leave Dully in third place. Uni added another three points to their tally when they were 5-0 winners over the Skilleroos who they had defeated 2-0 in the first round.

Mounties Wanderers produced a 2-1 win last time they met Western NSW Mariners. However, on this occasion the teams shared the spoils when their match finished at 1-1 and that has forced the Wanderers back one place to sixth. Western dominated the first half and took the lead through a goal from Kurtley Golden. The Wanderers worked their way back into the game in the second half and they were rewarded with an equaliser.

Northern Tigers took the first round points from Bankstown Berries with a 1-0 result and the Tigers went on with the job when they posted a 3-1 victory this week. That has meant that the teams have swapped places on the table with the Tigers moving to twelfth and the Berries dropping to thirteenth.

The competition frontrunners have an unassailable lead and they other four teams currently in the top five will all compete in the play-offs but there may still be a change or two to their finishing order.

Grade 15
While the teams to compete in the finals series have already been determined, there is no doubt that we will need to wait until the last ball is kicked in this competition to discover the order in which they will finish.
Central Coast Mariners were held to a 1-1 draw by Granville Rage in their first round clash but this time Central Coast took the full ration of points when they were 2-0 winners. They have remained at the top of the table while Rage are still sixth. In a tight first half both teams had their chances but it took until the 25th minute for the first goal to come. That occurred when the Mariners?  Pirrottina was brought down in the box and Matt Bennett converted the spot kick to give his side the half-time lead. Moments into the second stanza Tim Tseng capitalised on a defensive error to take the score to 2-0. To their credit, the Granville lads never gave up and fought all the way to the final whistle.
Western NSW Mariners were beaten 1-0 by Mounties Wanderers when they teams last saw each other and the Wanderers struck again when they produced a 1-0 result. Western have slipped back one place to third and the Mounties have remained at fourth. The Wanderers reportedly came out firing and their early goal proved to be the difference in a very tight game.

Grade 16
In this competition the frontrunners have an unmatchable lead but there is still some question of the positions of the remainder of the teams competing for places in the finals series and that will not be known until next weekend.
Central Coast Mariners had registered a 3-1 first round win over Granville Rage and when the Mariners recorded a 1-0 victory this week they established an unassailable lead at the top of the table while Rage are still in seventh spot.
Fraser Park were 2-0 winners when they met Bankstown City Lions last time around but they had to be content with a share of the points this week when the match ended at 2-2. Fraser Park held onto second spot and the Lions moved up one place to eighth.
Last time the teams faced each other Sydney University produced a 1-0 result over Dulwich Hill but it was closer this week when the teams battled out a 1-1 draw. Uni have remained at third while Dully are still in eleventh position.
Northern Tigers had edged out Bankstown Berries with a 2-1 first round win but the Berries were able to square the ledger this week when they produced a 1-0 result. That has forced the Tigers back one place to fifth while the Berries remained at tenth.
Spirit FC came up with a 4-1 victory when they met Macarthur Rams last time and Spirit went on with the job when they were 6-1 winners this week, an outcome that has pushed them up one place to fourth while the Rams have slipped back one place to ninth.
Mounties Wanderers posted a 2-0 win when the faced Western NSW Mariners in the first round and that scoreline was repeated when the teams met this week. The Wanderers are still in sixth spot and Western have remained in twelfth position. The Mounties exerted their authority on the match and would not give Western a single millimetre.
Grade 18
There could well be a barnstorming finish to this competition as positions are still very much up for grabs and there are as many as eight teams wanting the be a part of the play-offs.

Spirit FC had claimed the first round points with a 4-1 win over Macarthur Rams but the tables were turned this time when the Rams were 2-0 winners, an outcome that has left the Rams at eleventh and forced Spirit to drop one place to tenth.
