The dreadful weather last week had some drastic consequences for the fixtures scheduled for the weekend with only eleven of the thirty-nine matches being played and that has affected each of the competition tables on one way or another.

IGA NSW National Premier League Men’s 1 – G12 to G18 Overview

The only fixture to be played in its entirety on the week end was the one between Blacktown Spartans and Sydney Olympic. On this occasion rhe Spartans grabbed fifteen of the available points, leaving Olympic with only three points to show for their efforts.

Manly United managed to play the 16s and 18s matches against South Coast Wolves the home club taking all the points on offer.

Bonnyrigg White Eagles were able to play the 13s, 14s and 15s matches against Football NSW Institute with the White Eagles earning seven points from the encounter.

Sadly the Blacktown City v Sutherland Sharks, APIA Leichhardt Tigers v Marconi Stallions, Sydney United 58 v Central Coast Mariners and the Rockdale City Suns v Bonnyrigg White Eagles fixtures were all washed out and they will need to be rescheduled.

(Grade 12 – Grade 15)

The much anticipated top of the table clash between Sutherland Sharks and Blacktown City was one of the victims of the weather and that fixture will be rescheduled, sadly as a double-header in the coming weeks.

Blacktown Spartans took full advantage of their ability to play matches on the synthetic surface and they promptly snatched nine of the twelve Club Championship points from Sydney Olympic. That has allowed the Spartans to leapfrog Blacktown City into second spot. Olympic’s three points share allowed them to move up from sixth to fourth.

That has forced Sydney United 58 back one place to fifth and APIA Leichhardt Tigers have slipped back one place to sixth while Manly United remained in seventh spot.

Marconi Stallions are currently placed eighth with Bonnyrigg White Eagles at ninth, South Coast Wolves at tenth, Rockdale City Suns at eleventh and competition newcomers Central Coast Mariners are bringing up the rear.
