Sydney FC visit Belmore United FC

Over 120 junior players greeted four high profile Sydney FC A-League players last Wednesday night (5 June 2013), including Rhyan Grant, Peter Triantis, Hagi Gligor and Vedran Janjetovic who visited Tim Cahill’s former Club, Belmore United Football Club at Beaman Park.
All of Belmore United FC’s junior and senior football teams were part of a Sydney FC community appearance at Beaman Park Earlwood which featured Rhyan Grant who had a successful 2012-13 A-League Season, Peter Triantis, a former Sydney Olympic FC player who has moved up the ranks into Sydney FC’s first grade, Hagi Gligor who is an emerging youth talent and Vedran Janjetovic who has been Sydney FC’s main goalkeeper appeared at 4.30pm at their Association Club home ground Beaman Park.
They signed autographs, trained with the youngsters and took part in small-sided games.
“It was an exciting event for the many Belmore juniors that trained and mixed it with some of Sydney FC’s younger emerging stars” said Helen Dellis, Manager Administration, Belmore United FC
The event was part of a community visits program run by Sydney FC which is integral to their community and fan engagement goals within the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association (CDSFA).
“It is a great honour and opportunity for young developing footballers to meet high profile A-League professional footballer heroes and learn about what it takes to make it to the top” said Belmore United FC Technical Director, George Lazarou.
