IGA NPL NSW GRADE 20s Round 15 Review
Torrential rain on Saturday evening meant that only four matches were played in Round 15.
Rockdale City vs Blacktown Spartans and Sydney Olympic FC vs Sydney United 58 FC were both washed out on Sunday afternoon.
ROUND 15 REVIEW
SATURDAY
Central Coast Mariners Academy 0-0 Sutherland Sharks FC, at Pluim Park
Central Coast Mariners Academy and Sutherland Sharks played out a nil-nil draw at Pluim Park on Saturday afternoon.
It is a result that does little for either side in their bid to break free from the mid-table mire.
Bonnyrigg White Eagles 1-3 Manly United FC, at Bonnyrigg Sports Centre
Bonnyrigg was outclassed on Saturday evening, going down 3-1 to Manly United FC.
Patrick Crane scored for Bonnyrigg, but a Jack Green hat-trick saw Manly United walk away with all three points.
South Coast Wolves 1-2 Marconi Stallions, at Hooka Creek Park
South Coast Wolves were leading 1-0 with 15′ minutes to go but Marconi Stallions staged an exciting come back to win 2-1.
Josh Bingham’s goal had Wolves in front, but Mark Cindric and Josh Spina struck late to give Marconi a hard fought win.
SUNDAY
Blacktown City FC 2-2 APIA Leichhardt Tigers, at Lily Homes Stadium
The only match to take place on Sunday afternoon was a thrilling 2-2 draw between Blacktown City FC and APIA Leichhardt Tigers.
In an open affair, both sides could have scored more in the trying conditions.
As it were, Alan Kovacevic and Clayton Musumeci scored for APIA but goals from Andre Schroeder and Luke Clifford gained the home side a share of the points.
