The constant rain over the weekend cut the scheduled fixtures down to just the one but it saw a change of leadership all the same as Macarthur Rams took advantage of St George’s washout to move a point clear of the Saints at the head of the table.
Macarthur Rams v Sydney University
Macarthur Rams zipped to the top of the league with a 2-0 win over Sydney University on Saturday night, the only game of the weekend to escape the clutches of the adverse weather.
A goal in each half was sufficient for the Rams with Reuben Agyei-Danso netting to put Macarthur in front on seventeen minutes. A second half goal to Reece Iredale, his first of the season, secured the win with fourteen minutes left to play.
