Girls from the Southern NSW, Western NSW and Riverina regions descended on Bathurst this week for the 2014 Country Girls State Team Camp.
The camp, held at The Scots School, is the first selection camp this year that talented players were invited in to trial for the 2014 NSW U13 and U15 Country Girls State Teams.
Players were identified to take part in the camp if they were a part of last year’s representative sides, played in 2013 Football NSW competitions, and from State Titles tournaments.
Throughout the three day camp players participated in training sessions and games, in the hope of being selected for this year’s sides.
Successful players from this camp will begin State Training Centre training in each region – Southern NSW, Western NSW and Riverina – which will form part of the ongoing development and assessment of players.

Successful players will also be invited to a second selection camp, to be held at Valentine Sports Park (Football NSW headquarters in Glenwood, Sydney) in April.
Football NSW Technical Coordinator Nadine Shiels was happy with the outcomes of the State Team camp.
"Our first camp for 2014 was very inspiring. The talent that the girls demonstrated at camp defines the development opportunities that Southern, Western and Riverina regions are providing for these players" said Shiels.
"All players at camp performed well on the park in sessions and games. I was very impressed with their conduct both on and off the field.
"It’s a great way to begin our State Team processes for 2014 and I know the coaches are looking forward to working with these players."
