Moya Dodd rewarded

FIFA Official and female advocate for the world game Moya Dodd was rewarded for her outstanding services after taking out the category of Sporting Influence’s at the ‘Women’s Health I Support Women in Sport Awards’.
Dodd was overwhelmed upon receiving such an accolade but recognised how powerful sport can be in projecting her message about equality and the continual promotion and development of the women’s game in Australia.
“Sport is so profoundly influential that it gives us all a platform for positive change
 “Thanks to the FFA for giving me a platform to contribute.
“Our game has a unique convening power to influence for good.”
The Vice-President of the Asian Football Confederation joined the likes of Olympian Kim Brennan who took out the Sportswoman of the Year award, Pentathlete Chloe Esposito for Moment of the Year and Layne Beachley AO who was inducted in the Hall of Fame as some of the many winners in what was a successful awards ceremony.
Women’s Health magazine also announced it was starting a support network, WINS, for Australia’s female athletes, offering funding, training, mentoring and employment opportunities from January next year.
