Sydney University tackle FNSW Institute in Cup opener

The first piece of silverware for the PlayStation4 National Premier Leagues NSW Women’s competition will be up for grabs this Sunday as Blacktown Football Park will play host to the 2017 Preseason Cup Final between 2016 Premiers and Champions Sydney University and Football NSW Institute.
It will be Heather Garriock’s star studded line-up tackling Craig Foster’s future young Westfield Matildas stars as the game will act as the main event with the day kicking off at 8:30am when the same teams lock horns in the U13’s followed by matches in the U15, 17 and Reserve Grade categories. FNSW Institute finished up in top spot taking out four from four wins in Pool 2 topping the group with 12 points while Sydney University finished first in Pool 1 with 10 points recording three wins and one draw.
Round 1 of the PS4 NPL NSW Women’s competition officially kicks off on Sunday 2nd April with a host of intriguing first round matches with the Northern Tigers taking on the Blacktown Spartans, Illawarra Stingrays facing Sydney University, Emerging Jets hosting Football NSW Institute, Macarthur Rams battling Manly United and North Shore Mariners tackling the North West Sydney Womens Koalas.
