Nepean Football Association grassroots club Cranebrook United recently held a very successful ALDI MiniRoos Kick-off program at Andromeda Oval in Cranebrook as a number of excited young footballers took part in the national program.

The program itself is catered for children aged between 4 and 9, is a weekly 45-minute session that builds skills through games and simple drills delivered in an engaging and inclusive environment.

Run through the Football Federation of Australia (FFA), it was highly evident that the Cranebrook United, home of the Cobras, has taken a liking to the program.

Football NSW was present on the day as Game Development Officer for MiniRoos Zac Ribiero was delighted with the presentation and enthusiasm Cranebrook Untied displayed on the day.

“It was fantastic to see Nepean Football Association Football Manager James Rankine football supporting Cranebrook United with their ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off program on the day.

“I would also like to complement Gail Macleod-Jones from Cranebrook United for her strong beliefs on the benefits of running a kick-off program at her club as well Gail’s efforts assisting with the program set up.

“Macleod-Jones, a former Football NSW State Award recipient in 2016, has continually pushed the boundaries in promoting the sport within the Nepean area as well as looking after her beloved Cranebrook United.

“The feedback from parents on the morning was nothing but positive”.
