Hills Football Association enjoying Summer Football experience

It’s been a pleasing season thus far in the Summer Football scene as Hills Football Association, fresh from coming on board with Football NSW this season, has been busy with its four affiliated centres with the world game taking centre stage.

Running on Monday to Thursday evenings from 6:30pm onwards at venues such as the Bella Vista Oval, Francesco Reserve, Kellyville Park and Masonic Oval, all of which have caught Summer Football fever with each venue glowing with excitement and anticipation of forthcoming fixtures.

Football NSW Development Officer Lauren Moore recently visited one of the venues, Masonic Oval, and caught up with Jason Isherwood, who is closely connected to the Hills Knights football side based out at the park and was impressed with what she had witnessed.

“Jason was very excited to get Summer Football up and running and this has shown with the good response of participants playing the sport at this venue with all competitions running smoothly.

“Each night seems to be quite full but one area Jason hoped to develop was the over 30’s and 35’s in the women’s competition – an area he believes has the potential to grow even further.

“It was fantastic to see so many smiles that evening and I am confident that the interest of Summer Football will continue to develop within the football crazed area in years to come.”
