SDSFA Throw a Green & Gold Party For Our Socceroos
Southern Districts Soccer Football Association took supporting our Socceroos to the public on Saturday night, as our National Team commenced their FIFA World Cup campaign.
The association in conjunction with Hinchinbrook Sports Club hosted a live screening of the Socceroos first match over the weekend, for all to enjoy.
With the celebrations beginning in the afternoon proceeding into the evening, the event saw an abundance of marquees, food, entertainment and more importantly the star of the night, a large outdoor screen with the Socceroos v France match.
Football NSW Game Development Officer Kevin Amaya was joined in with the festivites, bringing along Football NSW inflatable dart board, which made a featured appearance throughout the night. Kevin was thrilled to see associations and clubs taking initiatives such as these to support our team on the world stage.
“It is great to see local clubs providing opportunities for fans and members to watch football for free. It was like our own little slice of Russia, in our own backyard.”
All those involved boasted on what a fantastic night everyone had, despite the result.
