NPL NSW Men’s/Women’s Top Tier clubs granted Hudl Team Portal accounts for 2019
Football New South Wales (FNSW) announced that all National Premier Leagues (NPL) 1 & 2 clubs, and all NPL1 Women’s clubs have been granted Hudl Team Portal accounts for the 2019 season.
Hudl is a leading sports technology company which offers the tools to edit and share meaningful insights, interact with stats, and create quality highlight reels via an online portal, giving coaches, analysts, and players the flexibility to access vision at home and on the go.
The clubs with Hudl Team Portal accounts will also have the option to pay to upgrade their service, which would unlock these analysis tools for coach and player development.
Football NSW’s Head of Football, Peter Hugg, said he’s delighted that all clubs across NPL 1 & 2 men’s, and NPL 1 Women’s will have access to the technology.
“We have been working closely with Hudl to implement this service for the benefit of our elite clubs,” Hugg said.
“Importantly, each Hudl Team Portal account is for the benefit and use of all age groups within the club, which will enable multiple matches to be uploaded to each team’s private pages after each game day for review and analysis.”
The utilisation of the technology is also set to benefit Australia’s youth national teams, with Football Federation Australia’s (FFA) Technical Staff permitted to access the vision for the purpose of Talent ID and State and National Teams.
FFA’s Head of National Teams, Luke Casserly, said FFA will be seeking to roll-out the program nationwide over the coming years.
“Australia is a massive nation, so by collaborating with our Member Federations and Hudl we expect to soon be able to more effectively and efficiently identify talent in every corner of the country,” Casserly said.
“While we are commencing with Football NSW, our aim within the next 12-to-18 months is to have this process in place with all Member Federations.
“Specifically, our youth national team coaches will be focused on viewing Under 15s and 16s men’s competitions, and the NPL 1 Women’s competition as coaches such as Trevor Morgan (Joeys) and Rae Dower (Westfield Junior Matildas) seek to identify players with the potential to represent Australia,” he said.
The NPL club with the highest engagement throughout the 2019 season will receive a $5,000 package from Hudl, while all clubs that upload all of their matches in the 15s and 16s age groups will receive a club visit from FFA National Team Coaching Staff to run a session and workshop.
