A record-breaking total of 690 clubs are set to do battle as Preliminary and Round 1 matches of the 2019 State Cup have officially been announced by Football NSW.
The 2018 season featured 623 team entries but 2019 has seen an increase of 67 clubs, breaking the Member Federation’s record to 690.
The Bill Cullinan Cup and the 12 Boys Frank Broughton Cup, 14 and 15 Boys State Cups all have Preliminary Round matches scheduled to be played on Sunday 28th April.
In a huge statistic, there will also be 47 more Round 1 matches than any previous Cup matches.
In a great boost for regional football, five Country Associations will also be well represented.
Griffith will field 8 teams, Bathurst will field 2 while Lithgow, Football Wagga and Orange will all have one team involved in round 1 matches.
As many as 54 fields across the state will feature in round 1 matches on Sunday 5th of May as State Cup fever hits fever pitch at Football NSW.

It should be noted that not all age groups commence in Round 1.
The below information indicates the starting date and Round for each age group:
- Preliminary Round – 28th April 2019 – 12 Boys Frank Broughton Cup, 14 Boys, 15 Boys, All Age Men Bill Cullinan Cup
- Round 1 – 5th May 2019 – 13 Boys, 14 Girls, 16 Boys, 16 Girls, 18 Men, 21 Men Robertson Cup and All Age Women
- Round 2 – 19th May 2019 – 12 Girls Cheryl Salisbury Cup, 17 Boys and Over 35 Men
