Football NSW has today issued a Notice of Annual General Meeting (AGM) for its AGM in respect of the financial year ended 31 October 2019.

The AGM will take place on Friday, 20 March 2020.

At the AGM, the terms of current Elected Directors, Jeanette Jones and Rob Laws, expire.  As Dr Jones has served two consecutive terms as an Elected Director, she is ineligible to stand again. While Mr Laws is eligible to stand for a second term, he has decided to pursue other interests.

The Elected Director position held by Chris Gardiner, who resigned from the Board in 2018, also expires at the AGM and therefore, there are three Elected Director positions to be filled at the AGM

Football NSW is excited to announce that the candidates for those positions are Morris Iemma, Fiona Lang and Stephen Loader.

Mr Iemma is a former Premier and Treasurer of NSW.  Since leaving Parliament, Mr Iemma has been working as a consultant and general counsel to a range of clients in the health, leisure/hospitality, facilities management and infrastructure sectors and sits across a number of boards.

Ms Lang is currently an Appointed Director of Football NSW and is now seeking election as an Elected Director.  Ms Lang leads BBC Studios as General Manager for the Australasia, overseeing a portfolio  of broadcast channels, content sales, licensed consumer products, live events/live production and home entertainment businesses.

Mr Loader is a specialist in sponsorship, marketing, brand communication, strategy and governance of sporting organisations at state, national and international level.  Mr Loader has extensive experience sitting on the boards of a wide variety of sports.  Mr Loader is a passionate about Football and has recently registered for his 55th consecutive year of playing at the community level.
