Wagga Wagga struck by Futsal Schools Championships fever

Bolton Park Stadium in Wagga Wagga was the place to be as the 2021 Football NSW Schools Championships took place recently.

In what was a fiercely fought out competition across five age groups the day kicked off with the Riverina Anglican School running rampant with a 9-2 win over the Wagga Wagga Christian School in the 10 Boys.

The 10 Girls saw the Riverina Anglican School follow the boys led as they too lifted the trophy with a 4-0 win over the Riverina Anglican B side.

The 14 Boys saw the Riverina Anglican School prevail yet again with a resounding 8-2 win over the Mater Dei Catholic College.

While finally in the two closing matches, Wagga Wagga Christian College took out a 5-4 thriller against Mater Dei Catholic College in the Open Boys while in the Open Girls it was Mater Dei who needed a penalty shootout (4-3) to be crowned Champions of their category against the Riverina Anglican College.
