Winners galore in Futsal Schools Championships at Hurstville

Hurstville Aquatic Centre played host to the 2021 Football NSW Futsal Schools Championships in the Eastern Suburbs/St George Region conducted in early June.

Eight age groups featured as Futsal took centre stage with some outstanding action played across the day.

In the 13 Boys St Spyridon College won in a thriller defeating Newington College 2-1 while in the 13 Girls Connells Point proved far too clinical smashing International Grammar 8-1.

It was another hard-fought match in the 14 Girls as Blakehurst edged Mosman High 2-1 while the International Grammar 14 Boys side defeated Belmore Boys 3-1.

It was a narrow 1-0 win for All Saints Grammar over Fort Street in the 16 Girls while Kogarah High defeated All Saints Grammar three goals to one.

In the day’s final two matches, Santa Sabina College held off a spirited Kingsgrove High outfit winning 4-3 in the Open Girls while in the Open Boys Al Zahra stole the show notching up an extra-time winner over Matraville Sports High 2-1.
