A request from the Tongan Football Association

Football NSW has recently been asked to support the Tongan Football Association (TFA) with their search for possible national representative players who may be living in Sydney or NSW.

The TFA is seeking eligible female football (soccer) players throughout Australia who have a strong desire to represent the their Women’s National Team at the Oceania Football Confederation’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualification series in 2022.

The eligibility requirements for interested players is that they possess either current or previous Tongan Citizenship and/or have a Tongan Passport of player, or one parent does.

In terms of talent and ability, players should have a high level of current playing experience within a club or representative team, and a strong desire and commitment to represent the Tongan Football Association National Women’s team.
