Inter Lions have appointed John Stevanja as the club’s official Goalkeeper Coach for both it’s male and female sides for the 2022 Football NSW season.

Having played in the former National Soccer League as well as having coached at Macarthur FC and the Marconi Stallions, the 42-year-old comes with good pedigree and will be an integral member for the Lions side as he gears the keepers up for a competitive 2022 season.

The news has been further welcomed by the club who see Stevanja’s appointment as yet another step into the right direction from a development perspective.

“With over 20-years’ experience, John has contributed greatly towards the growth of both male and female keepers in Australia,” a club spokesperson stated to Football NSW.

“John is very well known for his “Upper 90” College development and educational platform and continues to work closely and achieve success with a broad range of players like Tom Heward Belle (Sydney FC), and other budding stars in the National Team appearing in Europe and USA (through the USA Scholarship network encompassing further education for players who wish to play/study).

“The learning experience and training outcomes he will be able to provide all squads is invaluable.

“John is very excited about this opportunity and the club welcome him for 2022.”
