Football NSW has confirmed the players set to represent both Metro and Country teams in next week’s Football Australia (FA) National Training Centre Challenge Under 18 (NTC) for Girls to be held in Clyde North, Victoria.

Commencing on Monday 10th of July and concluding on Friday 14th, both teams will be looking forward to achieving positive results as well as showcasing their skills with the hope of gaining future national team selection.

Both squads feature players from the Football NSW Institute program as well as various National Premier Leagues NSW Women’s clubs.

“We are excited to attend the FA National Training Centre Challenge in Melbourne next week,” said Football NSW’s Player Development Manager for Girls Nadine Shiels.

“The Metro and Country teams have been busy preparing over the past couple of months for what will be a challenging tournament.

“Individually, these players have been working extremely hard in their own environments to prepare themselves for this occasion.

“It is a fantastic opportunity for our players to showcase themselves against some of the best players, in their age group, in the country.

“Even more so, with the 2023 FIFA Womens World Cup just around the corner, our players are inspired and have the drive, determination, and passion to compete at this level.

“We are very much looking forward to competing at the NTC Challenge this year.”
